His double save from Shevchenko is without question the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a fair few. The idea peddled by one or two on here that it was "luck" is just ludicrous.


He makes a great save then immediately starts to get back up to his feet, something all keepers should do. I'm not so sure how much he knew about the second save but it was clear that he was doing the right thing. An element of luck maybe but often in these things you make your own luck.

Am I making sense?
 
Perfectly IMO. He was doing exactly the right thing, so he's entitled to the credit for putting himself in position to save Shevchenko's follow-up. If he fails to get back up after the first save, the second shot goes in and the miracle is stillborn.
