Sherwood is the new Spurs manager

I don't really know anything about the guy in this sort of role. They say he's quite well thought of for the work he's already done there?

I'm not ready to laugh just yet (perhaps just a snigger). Guardiola was also a bit of a surprise appointment too.

If Southampton hadn't played Charles Itandge in goal yesterday this could be so different.
This season couldn't get any better.

[article]“People may think that Tim is not a big name or doesn’t have a big CV, but you know he will take no nonsense from anybody,” said Rose. “His first training session, a couple of lads rolled out on to the training pitch late and he got us in a circle and said it was unacceptable.
“Fortunately, it wasn’t me who was late. Tim set out some new rules and you know not to mess with him, and that’s good.”

Asked what Sherwood’s rules are, Rose replied: “Punctuality, when we go down to eat, team meetings. Stuff on the training pitch as well. When he speaks, you’ve got to listen. It’s great.”[/article]

18 month contract for someone who doesnt have all his coaching badges and no experience at top level is a bit weird.
His set up against Soton was extremely naive but a Christmas spirited Soton defence gave them 3 points.

Will be interesting to see how he does, I dont think Spurs will finish in the top 4 now.
Tim Sherwood looks like a giant cunt so he'll fit right in at WHL.

Read some stories from Dutch journos at how surprised Spurs were that De Boer rejected them.

Yep he rolled the dice and got lucky yesterday.
And that Southampton team had injuries in goal and at the back too.

This could end in tears. Wonder if a premier league team has sacked two managers inside a season?
They might aswell have kept avb, this has written of the top 4 for them this season.

They sound like a bunch of amateurs who have just been promoted to the big leagues.

Turned us down as well. Glad he did not take this one as he is proving himself at Ajax.

He has a decent chance of Barca in the future.

My champagne is staying on ice for the moment. Anyone who isn't Villarse Boarse will have a head start with most of that squad, besides which he got Soldado playing to his potential by pairing him with Adebayor last time out and they still aren't that far off the pace.

Soldado missed every chance didnt he?
Sherwood played Eriksen and Dembele as their midfield duo. It was a extremely naive set up that bar Sotons poor form and Conference league standard keeper would have ended in tears.
They also lost 2-1 to West Ham.

Sherwood doesnt have all his coaching badges and he's probably getting the job because of his Spurs history.
I dont think they'll get top 4. I see some of the Spurs fans think he can be their Guardiola, well lets see how this pans out..

Still a better manager than Glenn Hoddle...

All my Spurs supporting colleagues are so pleased that he has not got the job. One said you could see the disapppointment in his face when they won on Sunday cos he knew that his chances were damaged.

it could work out great, they do poor this season and sherwood can happily blame avb and having come in half-way - they then continue to to crap next season and sherwood gets sacked and another re-building phase kicks in. in the meantime no champs league footie means that firesell of players! *dreams*

Hang on, you want all this to happen so we can buy the players who ain't going to do it for Spurs? That's more than a bit mad.

There are good players there, who at the right pwicd we should be interested in.

If they are such good players they'd be doing it for Spurs. They were available and we chose not to buy them. Correct decision as far as things look at the moment.
