I didn't watch that much of the competition but I though Shaqiri did little outstanding in what I saw of him, and I was looking out for him.
Pretty much four or five of the Spaniards were the standout players of the tornament with Herrera, Alcantara and Munian all looking better than Shaqiri.

You think? I beg to differ mate. I thought he looked very talented indeed despite having to play in a rather defensive-minded team.

He's fast, strong in man-to-man challenges, great range of technique, good shot, good finisher. Not much there not to like really. In my opinion.

Personally I believe Munian is well over-rated mind from what I've seen so far. Good, but not great.

The agent of Basel young star Xherdan Shaqiri has hinted the midfielder could be looking to move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.

Shaqiri is currently regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe and has been regularly linked with many of the continent's top sides, including Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, Bayern have long been regarded as leading the chase for his signature, and that now appears to be the case after the player's agent and brother, Erdin Shaqiri, revealed Germany is the likeliest destination when the Basel midfielder decides to leave the club.

"Right now, Bayern is the best club for Xherdan [to join], but it is clear he can only develop further abroad," Erdin Shaqiri told Basler Zeitung.

"He must take the step this summer, because to play four times [seasons] in the Swiss league against the same teams isn't enough [for his development].

Nonetheless, he was keen to assert no official contact had been made between player and club.

"There have been some requests that weren't serious. Munich have contacted neither myself not Xherdan."

Still only 20, Shaqiri has already earned 17 caps for Switzerland, scoring four goals in the process.
