What's is it with people hating certain players whether they deserve the hate or not
It was Johnson last week, Henderson this week, Downing is also subject to this.

People spoke about Henderson like he fucked everything up, couldn't pass for shit and he was an 'embarassment' apparently. I saw a solid performance with some neat linking player and surges forward with the occasional slip up in play, but people have spoke like he scores three own goals.

Is it simply the case that once that's player has made an impression that its game over for them?

we need someone to vent on. Its what happens sadly

people will bemoan the loss of a xabi, raul or the dropping of a maxi, immediately assuming the game would be instantly and miraculously different.

For me every player on that pitch gave their all and no one should be singled out. We were all heart today
 
I thought Henderson was the weakest player for us today. He didn't exactly do anything too bad, just didn't add as much as everyone else.

Maxi should have been brought on for him.

See for me, he harried the opposition well and distributed the ball cleverly and rarely lost the ball. Hes not adventurous enough, which is true, but his work rate all over the pitch would be more than maxi could do outside the box.
 
And I genuinely thought Johnson was terrible last week (until the goal obviously). He was better today though.

Henderson started ok today but was too wasteful late on.
