Two out of three aint bad

You'll have to educate me on Reisling, I always considered it to be a sickly sweet wine, so haven't touched it in years ... but if that was because I was trying the wrong version, I'd love to have my pallet educated. I do recall buying 2L bottles of Lutomer, when I was a student (80s), as it was cheap ... so maybe that has coloured my opinion

Yeah - this is the problem - the sickly sweet cheap shit is what gave Riesling such a bad name, particularly in the UK.

He’s been offered that already, still here.
Just relax and watch the great man play for a while longer, not everything is about money…

I lived in a village near Bensheim (Odenwald) a long time back and could drink the “good stuff” at the local wineyards. The difference in taste from the early to last harvested grapes was immense. It is this that always comes to mind when someone says I like a certain grape variety wine.

Yep - early picked, more acid, less sugar - late picked, more sugar.

My response to someone who says they don’t like Riesling is generally, you’ve just not landed on the style you like.

Like I said, Riesling is generally, picked, crushed, fermented in stainless steel, cleaned up a little and it’s all about pristine fruit flavours, acid line and what level of sugar sweetness - so it’s a clear representation of varietal and site.

Then it’s just down to age.

You find a few winemakers that play around with old wood ferment to add texture.

Chardonnay is different, because it’s more about winemaker choice - to use oak or not, how long to out on oak, what type of oak, to have time on lees (dead yeast cells), todo a malolactic fermentation or not - so many tricks to employ to create a specific style.

If there wasn't the fear his knees were made of autumn leaves, I'd be screaming for us to sign him after today.
Totally agree. It's the two bad injuries he's had.
But who knows, Wolves might get relegated and he might have a release clause we could capitalise on.

If this is Salah without blistering man beating pace then sign me up for as long as he wants to stay.
Up there with the very best to ever wear the shirt!

Not his liveliest game today as I thought until Ait Nouri went off he was having the better of things but popped up in the crucial moments of the game to play the right passes at the right time.

As long as he's helping us win games he's doing his job.....can't ask for much more.

Thank you @King Binny

Neto needs to improve his fitness though. Not talking about injuries only. He's gonna have to do a lot more running at LFC

That goal involvment stat is ridiculous, considering how Kane and KDB get lauded for what they do.
Sure he may not be same player he was a few season ago but he's still our most dangerous contributor in the final 3rd and his presence is definitely warranted, and still required

Michail Antonio on Salah's move to Saudi:

“He didn’t turn that down, no way. He was locked up and the Reds had put that red arrow across: ‘You are not going anywhere’. He did not stop that at all. To be fair to him, he didn’t kick up a fuss and let them do what they were doing. But I know for a fact that he was ready to go."

"What else can he do at Liverpool? He’s done it. It’s [Saudi] a great opportunity for him, he is a Muslim man and it had everything screaming out for him. There was no actual negative for the man to not go. I understand he has a contract, which he has fulfilled.

“So he wins another [Premier League title], do you know what that just means? He has won another. It doesn’t add much to anything else. He has done everything he could possibly do at Liverpool. I am saying to you right now, a Muslim man going to a Muslim country, £215m to Liverpool for a 31-year-old - I just find it completely crazy they’ve not accepted that.

“My question to you is this: what do you think Liverpool are playing for this year? Even if you couldn’t replace the man, let’s call this season a write-off.”

Utter nonsense

Also - it’s not a guarantee an Egyptian man wants to live and play in Saudi just because he’s a Muslim. At a level way below his capabilities. While still in his early 30s. Maybe in 4-5 years time?

It’s hardly utter nonsense.
