Ben Jacobs is the biggest donkey going but for 150m+, sell.

Throw 40m at Juve for Chiesa and then go all out for Hakimi.

Would be interesting if Salah surprises everyone and choses to follow Messi to the MLS when time comes. He is the only player with comparable media stature; he has a mural here in NYC and his face was on Time magazine. And he might actually enjoy the lifestyle here more.
You Live in NYC?

I would only accept money today for Salah if Jurgen was both OK with it and given the money to replace him.

I see Brentford are looking to sign Bakayoko from PSV. Hopefully we've tapped his agent up and said to put that signing on hold, until we know what's happening today with Salah.

Chiesa, no thanks! Hakimi is on silly salary. We will have 4 attackers, we aren't in desperate need to sign another attacker. Come Jan, we get Andre and Gonclaves (or Gift Orban), I expect Thiago and CJ to be ruled out for the rest of the season by then.

Other than the ACL which is probably behind him now, there isn't much there to worry about?

Hakimi is on about £200-220k a week, hardly silly wages for the best RB in the world. Mo's wages would pay both his and Chiesa's wages.

Spurs haven't exactly struggled for goals in Kane's absence? Just saying. In fact they look more fluid in attacking situations.

Neither have Madrid's despite not even bothering to replace their top goalscorer.

Doku would've been a decent replacement maybe though he'd have always been likely to choose City over us.

Even without the wages, he has a court case hanging over his head which is due a hearing.

he missed 16 games last season with a total of 75 days missed... now imagine how he would cope in the PL?
Hakimi is at PSG who can double his salary, it would be waste of time and energy to go for him.

@Richey is bang on.

Under no circumstances should we sell in this window - there’d be no replacement and it had the potential to detail or season.

I’m perfectly fine with him playing out his contract and leaving on a free if he continues to deliver at the same level he had over the last 5 odd seasons.

Money isn’t everything - and some players yiu shouldn’t just cash in on.

@Beamrider is also right - if you’re looking at Salah as just a football player - you’ve already been feltched.

Note : ask @Donavan Ried if you need some insight into Salah’s contribution & consistency, as he’s recently discovered new and startling facts on Salah that has shaken his world to the very core.

Yeah, there's a tipping point for me. We'll likely never be offered that amount of money again, and this is a season of transition anyway. Mo is still a formidable force, but there's no doubt he's a player in decline. With a revamped midfield, I don't think top four would be out of the question, even without Mo. And his absence would mean more minutes for Doak, Harvey, or whoever were to replace him. The Coutinho money catapulted our team to another level - this could be the making of us for another five years. Short of a fan mutiny, I suspect Klopp would be allowed to spend a good chunk of the proceeds.

Isn't it a bit early for him to retire?, (which he would be moving to Saudi League) he looks like he has years left at the top level.

Any bid accepted by LFC now signals no club ambition and none from Salah either, he can wait a bit to play walking football surely?

Rurik made a good point, he can go to US at 34 and still be next Messi there on a personal level if the decision was just his alone. He doesn’t need to see this as once in a life time opportunity. Only problem is, Trump maybe in charge and would Saudi Arabia look like utopia by then.

Regardless of whatever ridiculous sum they might throw at us, selling Salah without a readymade replacement would be incredibly myopic IMO.

Unless they see Szoboszlai there and a Mac, Gravenberch, Endo trio midfield - but I still think that's dumb as fuck

£100m bid with £50m in add ons rejected.

New bid incoming in the next couple of hours apparently.

Klopps comments make me think this is potentially on

Its 200m if they want him today, and that's only if the club have a CB and rw lined up.

So I guess it's a no

There is no realistic tipping point for this window.

£750m - start there - what’s he worth to them to legitimise their league and bring the most iconic “Arab” footballer to their league.

What would City say if they were after Haaland - which they will be soon if they’re serious.

We need to be prepared to keep Salah and lose him on a free - which we can do without being detrimental to the team.

fuck it… be like Maximus… HOLD THE LINE!!!
