Now that’s a good point. January it is then but not beforeI'd tell them to come back to us with the same offer in January.
We can have time to plan for his exit then (and he'll be off to Afcon anyway).

Pretty funny that two Salahs is worth one Everton
Yeh I saw that last time I was down there. Incredible really that an Egyptian who plays club football in England has a giant (dare I say beautifully rendered) mural in a prominent location in NYC.Would be interesting if Salah surprises everyone and choses to follow Messi to the MLS when time comes. He is the only player with comparable media stature; he has a mural here in NYC and his face was on Time magazine. And he might actually enjoy the lifestyle here more.
Would love to know what the add ons were
That he prays 5 times a day, posts on his social media how Saudi Arabia is the best, proclaims death to all homosexuals and attends at least 5 stonings a year

And he stops celebrating fucking christmas
You Live in NYC?

Agreed, but it also depends on how the season went.Thinking about it if we wait to next summer our bargaining position is quite weak really isn’t it?
They’ll half what they’re offering now no doubt and we’ll have to accept or Mo could easily see out the last year to be able to name his own salary.
January is the only middle ground
In JanuaryHypothetical question, 200m up front, 50m add-ons. You'd have to sell at that point really
Don't think the Saudis are THAT stupid.Hypothetical question, 200m up front, 50m add-ons. You'd have to sell at that point really
Exactly, so they might pay dramatically over the odds.Don't think the Saudis are THAT stupid.
Going back to what I said before Salah is the poster child of the Arab world and they want him to come back "home" so to speak.
7th, but gonna feel like the 20th.When is the actual Saudi window close? Is it 7th or 20th? I suspect could be a long window.
£200 mill for meExactly, so they might pay dramatically over the odds.
Everyone has a threshold of cost where there would sell him today, regardless of other business we do.
What is everyone's?
£200 mill for me
We already have. Dan Neil from Sunderland.Every chance we're lining replacements up as we speak
It does beg the question @Richey and others have been asking though. Why now? They could’ve thrown this money at us a month or two ago and found us more amenable, plus they could’ve squeezed every ounce of media juice out of him for their seasons opening.
