It's shocking how genuinely vacuous one or two posters are on here. Harping on about how Roy hasn't a clue about what's going on at the club because he refers the media to Purslow when he prefers not to expand further on a particular subject.
Just like when poor doddering old Roy was clueless when he told the press he'd had a brief chat with Joe Cole but they'd need to speak with Purslow regarding any further progress. THREE DAYS BEFORE HE SIGNED FOR LIVERPOOL.

It's not shocking at all, mate. It's actually as predictable as the sunrise.
It's unfortunate. And silly. But it's not the least bit shocking.

Wow. Bilko and Whadders agreeing again. And wrong again.
Let's be honest here, Old Uncle Roy isn't really that important in the grand scheme of things.
If they'd wanted inspiration, immediate excitement and loyalty to a new manager, then Old Uncle Roy would have been about 100th on the list. Would Joe Cole have signed for Fulham if Old Uncle Roy and Purssssslow had been in their respective positions at Craven Cottage?
Would. He. Fuck.
He's signed because it's Liverpool. Because of our fans and history. Because of players like Gerrard.
OUR and Pursssslow have had little to do with it.
Same goes for Torres. All he cares about now is the players he will be playing with, and how good they are. He wants to stay at Liverpool, but investment is required ideally. It's irrelevant what O.U.R says.

So, what Rafa4PM was to Rafa, you are 180 degrees the opposite of that when it comes to Roy...
No matter what happens to LFC during his tenure here, you'll find a way to make him 0% responsible for the successes, whilst simultaniously aportioning him a decent share of the responsibilities for the failures.
