Crump> I dunno. Maybe. But keeping grumpy players who don't want to be here is also a risk.

His demeanor could hardly be worse than last year, if he wasn't injured he was mopping about ...... and scoring 18 in 20. Stats like that again this season (and an injury free season) would put the 09/10 nightmare and his poor performances at the WC behind him, and help our valuation too. And who knows, maybe we get a new sugar daddy and he'll want to stay again.

Roy acts ignorant but is very shrewd. All transfer questions are deferred to Purslow while he gets on the job. I doubt that he's as oblivious as he appears to be.

He is going to surprise a few. He has an average record in the top flight but has the experience to turn us around. What's his detractors going to say is he improves on our points tally and league position? That he is doing the job he is paid to do! Hahahaaa

Torres is really fucking pissing me off now. If he wants to go to Man City or Chelsea (they're the only two that could afford him), then fuck off.
Here here but it scares me that who we can get to replace him if he does do the unthinkable..
I doubt anyone will match our valuation of either of them, so we'll get another year.
Mascher's only got two years left on his contract, so if we kept him another year it would cost us a LOT of money in lost transfer fees.

Yeah, lets fuck Torres off. The useless, mercenary twat...
It's amazing isn't it? 'Best fans in the world' and all that, then because Torres hasn't broke his holiday to say anything he should fuck off.

I think you know my view on Masch. 20 million is excessive for someone like him.

A fit Torres is worth as much as anyone in the world. Didn't that tossbag Ibra go for something like 60 mill plus Eto'o? Either way, Torres has loads of contract left and is better than him - but who's going to part with that kind of dough.

I wonder if you asked Torres or his agent what they thought he was worth they would say?

No. It's not like that. It's the fact that he could easily dispell the rumours of him wanting out but he hasn't. He could have done that even before the World Cup. Chances are he's thinking about a move to Chelsea or Man City at this moment in time, and that's fucking criminal after all the arse licking he's given us in the past. It's painful for Liverpool fans to read him being linked away every week and he knows this. If he doesn't want to move on then why string us along? He's clearly thinking about it.

Now this 'beef with the club'. We've all got fucking beef with the club. We've all been lied to. Look at Gerrard, how many false promises do you think he's had over the last 10-12 years? I know it's different with Torres, we're not his boyhood club, but don't make promises you can't keep and tell us we're the fucking shit just to piss off 12 months later when things go down the pan. Stay and fight for us, or fuck off if you think you're better than us.

He's absolutely idolised here, and he's played up to it with his statements in the past. I don't want him to go, and all my judgement is based on if's and but's admittedly. But if he'd rather be at Man Fucking City or Chelsea than here, then he can get to fuck. What's wrong with saying that?

The "best fans in the world" thing hasn't been remotely true since the Sky generation of fans and even before then, it was debatable.

But anyway, we were discussing how Torres must commit himself to us forever or be damned to eternal hell (well Chelsea or City) for the rest of time.

This is a forum yeah? Fans are allowed to vent right?

I don't see what the problem is if we say what's on our minds. It's not like anyone wants him killed?

Good post, Halmeister. I'm a bit more patient than you with Torres right now, but if he DID leave, I'd hate him with the same kind of passion.

I am with Bunnyman's way of thinking here, patience is key. We all love a bit of hysteria, but I think better of him than to go to city, and I hope I am right.

Yeah, right now he's our Nando, practically a scouser, but at the bat of an eyelid tomorrow he's a bent diving spic twat and I never liked the fucking homo injury prone fanny with a girls haircut in the first place.

When Owen left the interspaz was full of bellends claiming that Baros was ready to take his place

When Gerrart flirted with Chelsea, Alonso was all of a sudden 'more influential'

When Alonso left, all he did was pass, and Lucas could easily step in and cover until Aquilani was ready

Is it a coping strategy? Or just being very, very wrong about everything?

I still don't think losing Alonso on its own was enough to slip 20 odd points. The problem was replacing him with a crock, which meant playing some anti-footballing nob throb for most of the year. If we lost Torres... Well he only played half the time anyway (yeah probably the games we won, whatever) so if we could replace him with a non-crock, non nob-throb of similar value then it wouldn't have the same effect. Big if mind.
