no doubt after our media operation has decided this is the right thing for Diamond Joe to come out and say:

[article]"In the main, our form has been very good so I can't criticise the players too much," said Rodgers.

"If there's anyone to blame, blame me as manager. Ultimately it is down to the manager.

"The players have been brilliant over the course of the season, we just had an off day.

"We made mistakes with the goals but we go into two home games and that is what we will focus on."

"We have a few injuries to key players that leaves us light but it's probably no different to a lot of squads."
Brendan Rodgers
Rodgers also confirmed he might look to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window, especially with striker Daniel Sturridge ruled out for up to eight weeks with an ankle injury.

"I think every window for us will be exactly the same. If there is a player that we think can improve our squad, I am sure we will be able to go out and get that player," he added.

"We have a few injuries to key players that leaves us light but it's probably no different to a lot of squads.

"But we have other players that are working very hard and they will get an opportunity now.

"The responsibility now falls on everyone to keep up the performance level."[/article]

Yes, lets have a go at him for actually taking the blame. Which most thought he wouldnt do.

he knows he got it wrong and that is what I like about his guy. He is noob but improving i will give him a season more

He didn't actually take the blame. He said something like, 'People will naturally look for someone to blame,so they should blame me'. Then a hack asked, 'So does that you mean you're to blame?' And he said, 'No'. I found it quite bizarre. As usual, say less, Brendan, say much less.

Here's a transcription:

RODGERS: I can't criticise the players too much, so, if there was anyone to blame, blame me, as the manager, but today we're just reflecting and recovering and looking forward to our next two games, really.

HACK: Why do you say blame you? Would you have done anything different?

RODGERS: Well, no, but I think that you guys always look to blame someone, and, obviously, ultimately it's down to the manager.

How dare he!!

He clearly needs to be punished, tar and feather the heinous man!, and if he doesn't learn then out with the catt o'nine tails!

"I think every window for us will be exactly the same. If there is a player that we think can improve our squad, I am sure we will be able to go out and get that player," he added.

This right here is what has pissed me off.... so come Jan we can expect some more 7m and 10m players to be bench warmers!!!

I do share similar concern but just to clarify, in the press conference (posted here @3.14), he said

"I think every window for us will be exactly the same. If there is a player that we think can improve our squad, and in particular the team, I am sure we will be able to go out and get that player,"
