No hope for the title ..well I said/thought that before a ball was kicked despite all the OTT hype. However they will improve considerably as they have at least 5 players to come in and these are their likely line-ups (I wish we were playing them now !) and both look much better overall (but still not Top 4 quality).

Another fairly shit performance from us.
Di Maria looks like he is going to be very good for us. Wasn't even fully fir and surrounded by a fairly shit midfielder he still looked excellent.
Van Gaal has historically been a slow starter and we have lots of first XI players out. I think we will start to play better just not sure when yet.
With Blind, Herrera and Carrick all to come into the midfield that area will look much more solid.
With Shaw and Rojo to come in to the defense it will look better but still probably not good enough. Another CB today/tomorrow would help a lot.
We are further off the pace than I had expected but I didn't except us to make top 4 this season anyway. If we miss it by a bit more than I expected then so be it.

I checked out the RedCafe thread after the match, it's hilarious. Before we play everyone hates our guts and says we are going to lose. During the match it's a jealous Love-In, everyone is creaming themselves over our football and slagging off LvG, their players and their team big time 😀
And the bitters are below them 🙂
