Remember when we got grief because it emerged Bin Laden was a Liverpool fan? Ha.

Didn't he turn out to be a Arsenal fan then?
I love the way they based it on a Liverpool mug

Yeah a mug was spotted in his bunker and it swept through the internet that he was a Liverpool fan. Hahaha.

Surprised Fritzel wasn't spotted in a Liverpool shirt at some stage and it was used against us for the craic.

@ChastenedMUFC I'm quite liking your contribution to the site. Measured and not going over that line that many of your fans do when faced with Liverpool fans.

Without sounding patronising, keep it up. I like have reasoned debaters from other teams and sometimes this site is lesser for it.

Of course I'm never really ever going to "like" you but I'm sure we can get on with respecting each other.

We still need to add quality no point trimming for the sake of it.

Not trimming for the sake of it ? Have you seen how many players you have in your squad ? At one time this year you will have just 9 games in 3 months. How are you going to keep them happy ? Oops my bad - £100k a week should do it !

Exactly they will happily collect their wages while sitting on the bench.

However I would still much rather have them in the squad in case we ever need them.

We have 10 players unavailable to play including 4/5 who would be in the first XI. Herrera, Shaw, Rojo, Carrick and maybe Smalling. So unless we have players coming in to replace them I would rather keep.

ChastendedMUFC - Your not really a Man U fan are you ? - I think you are Modo in disguise. I just know coz I have this belief that no respectable United supporter would come on a Liverpool site, especially after doing so bad and looking so useless at the start of this season - I mean it's the equivalent of just bending over and taking it from a guy with such a massive cock that don't fit up your arsehole.

I have assumed it's someone like Rosco. Otherwise Peter Hague is quite right and the guy is a massive nimrod.

Is there no way for the mods to check the IP address? Match it against any other poster - like Rosco or Modo?

My impression of Carrick last season - and even some Manc fans seemed to think so - was that he was slowing down the team, very conservative and looked rather uninspired. Maybe you can put that down to Moyes, or injuries, or maybe it's age catching up, but I didn't think he looked like someone whom you could / should hang your hopes on for improving the midfield this season. He's 33 already and if he's still viewed as a cornerstone of your midfield, I'd be happy.

I still think he can do a job as the defensive midfielder. Working effectively as a third CB and linking the defense and the front 5. Carrick was never fast but his distribution has always been very good.

Obviously my preference is we get an upgrade on carrick before the window. But as it stands he would walk into the first XI ahead of Fletcher or Cleverly.

Picking up on this 'who-would-get-into-a-combined-team' and more especially RvP vs Sturridge. We've all seen Sturridge's stats since he arrived at Liverpool, amongst the best ever at Liverpool and seasonally in Europe. So I'm rather intrigued as to why (although we could play a 4-4-2 diamond to include both), some would select RvP over Sturridge, who better suits our style of play than the relatively slow (and ageing) RvP, and who has better stats over the past 2 years as well.

Well the dutch disease does have better goals from pen & shot accuracy stats, everything else is irrelevant

Of course there is, but if it is Rosco they're probably in on it anyway, considering he part owns the site. Anyway if this is Rosco, great, he was great to have around when he wasn't needlessly throwing insults at people, and Chastened hasn't done that yet.

Hodgson throws Luke Shaw under the bus.

Well, I say "throws", he *tries*, but fails because Shaw is just so fucking fat.

England manager Roy Hodgson lectures Luke Shaw over fitness issues

The England manager, Roy Hodgson, said today that he understood Louis van Gaal’s concerns over the fitness of Luke Shaw, and had spoken to the player himself during the World Cup finals about staying in shape to play at the highest level.
Van Gaal surprised Manchester United by announcing on their pre-season tour this summer that Shaw, the most expensive teenage footballer in history, was not fit enough to do what was being asked of him. The 19-year-old has since picked up a hamstring injury and is expected to be back in action after the forthcoming international break.
Announcing his squad for the friendly against Norway on Wednesday, and the Euro 2016 qualifier against Switzerland the following Monday, Hodgson said that Shaw had been told he needed to address his physical condition by England coaching staff. Signed by United for £27m in June, the teenager is yet to make his competitive debut for the club.
Asked about Shaw’s physical resilience, Hodgson said: “I think a lot of Luke’s situation is purely down to the fact that he is still young, his body is changing but I think he’s aware that the work rate which is required does mean that he’s got to work very, very hard on that aspect of his game.
“I must say, watching him play in the matches for Southampton which caused me to select him, watching him in the game against Costa Rica when he played, he didn’t seem to have too many problems coping with the physical side of the game.

VAN GAAL COMMENTS ON SHAW FITNESS

“That doesn’t mean to say he can’t be fitter and if Louis thinks that he can get him fitter then I’m sure he will certainly have our approval. But I think when he [Van Gaal] talks to [Mauricio] Pochettino then Pochettino will say to him: ‘What you were saying to Luke Shaw and what you’ve been saying to him, is what I was actually saying to him’.
“He [Shaw] might have had it mentioned to him a couple of times during the World Cup when we were together by people like myself and [physiotherapist] Gary Lewin. So I think he’s been aware of it, Luke, and he will get fitter and stronger, not least of all because he’s still a very young man and his body has not yet reached its proper proportions for the level he wants to play at.”

Yep I'm beginning to suspect foul play. @doctor_mac has good form with sniffing out imposters. What do you reckon fella?

I think it might be Rosco - Or maybe someone who just likes being a cuckold. Either way it's a bit strange.

This guy has me well flummoxed. Who would watch their team get raped by a minor team and then log onto a forum filled with people who despise your team? I can't even log on here after we've been beaten, and don't read sports media for a few days. Something's fishy.

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. In his defence he's sound enough for a Manc. I also know there are loads of Liverpool fans (and fans of other clubs) posting on RedCafe, so it's not like it's that uncommon. And I don't think he's Ross's style.

And yes, as a mod, you can run IP address checks and see if more than one username crops up. I'm an admin on another forum, and I've done this regularly.

Nah.
Didn't he call either Rosco or Ryan a thick paddy or something?
Could be the double bluff though.

Not Spaggy Legs. Chastened. Who is Irish. It was established very soon after he joined. I just assumed he was a Man U supporting mate of someone already posting myself.
