So who's going down ?

For me Hull (total chaos and lack of investment) & Burnley (not PL-standard squad) look the strongest bets. Swansea, Sunderland or Bournemouth may all be there or thereabout. I don't think Watford or Palace will even be close.

Swansea will be fine imo.
Sunderland will also be ok - Moyes manages teams like that well.
I think Bournemouth too.

WBA or Everton (they've signed no one - and their top players (Stones/Lukaku) want out)
Hull
Burnley

Any three from this lot;

Hull
Burnley
Watford
WBA
Boro

Leicester - I think they will really struggle this year. I wonder what the odds on a champion getting relegated the following season?

@LeTallecWiz

Everton ?! Many people reckon think they have a chance of breaking into the Top 6. They haven't sold Stones or Lukaku yet and if they do they will be rolling in it (not that they aren't flush already). Stable squad, a proven PL manager in Koeman and good players throughout the squad ; Coleman, Baines, Barry, Barkley, Besic, Kone, Mirallas & Deulofeu. They haven't signed anyone else yet this window (but they are looking at good quality players) and as I said if they sell Stones/Lukaku they have a lot of cash to make good.

Relegation fodder ? I think you are miles and miles off with that one mate !

I'd settle for Everton, Man Poo and Arsenal. Or Chelski.
If Leicester can win the title anything's possible!

Coleman - good
Baines - wasn't great last year.
Barry - was poor last year overall.
Barkley - meh, not coming close to the performances his talent level should be producing. Wouldn't be surprised if they try to cash out on him.
Besic - good player
Kone - he's average man, bang average.
Mirallas - he wants out - and hasn't played much the last two years
Deulofeu - love him, but if they lose Lukaku, who will he be passing to?

As I said, if they don't sign anyone, they will struggle ...

Even if they are all average that still puts them far ahead of any relegation fodder. You are letting your heart rule your head !

Everton won't struggle. Top 8 at least.

There will be quite a few incoming over the next couple of weeks.

Time will tell ... If they don't pick up anyone, they'll struggle with a frustrated fan base ...

If, as Pete says, they'll be signing players ... they'll finish top 10 without a problem.

Picking one or more of the promoted teams to be immediately relegated is a popular option every season, because at least one always is.

Hull look in disarray. But of the rest, it's quite hard to pick any obvious candidates. Moyes could stabilise Sunderland if given funds, but they always struggle. Bournemouth are investing, but could be vulnerable. Watford are always changing managers, so who knows what will happen there. Swansea would be another I'd keep an eye on.

Hull - definitely.

I'd look at odds for Leicester to go down - seriously, no way they're having that season again.

Burnley, 'Boro, WBA to be in the mix.

The other wildcard is Southampton - new manager, lost some of their best players again - I reckon they've got a long season ahead...

I think one of the clubs that have been fighting relegation for several seasons will, like Newcastle last time, run out of luck this time around. So that could be West Brom. I'm not so sure Burnley will go straight back down - yes, they've got a small squad, but they've got a good manager, who will have learnt a lot from the last time they were in the league, and I think he'll get them surprisingly competitive. Sunderland's an interesting one: they've got a poor squad and a bad habit of struggling, but Moyes' reputation will be in tatters if they go down, so I expect him to improve them. Watford could well find that other teams have worked them out now, and Mazzarri is new to the league. Hull look like they're already in a mess. So I'll say:

Watford
West Brom
Hull

The Fan Base are far from Frustrated at the moment mate. They have a new multi millionaire owner, a promising young manager, and some decent players. Most of my evertonian mates are happier than they have been in years! Last season, They just wanted Martinez out so much. And got their wish!

Yeah, they're all delirious, and talking about Koeman and whatsisname creating a Bluenose dynasty. There's a bit of unrest about the fact they haven't signed Messi (or whoever) yet, but overall I haven't seen The Bitters so happy since Roberto Martinez reopened The School Of Science.

I know the girl holding up the middle of the banner (next to the blonde). I havent seen her in about a year but when I do, I cant wait to give them a load of shite about this. They were convinced he was the second coming when he joined and the shite they gave him towards the end was something else 🙂

I'm pretty sure that banner went up towards the end of his first season in charge in 2014, when the actual "School of Science" chant also surfaced, following a decent run of results.

roberto had a dream,
to build our football team.
we had no money so he signed the players on loan.
we play from the back,
with Ross in att--aa---ck.
the school of science, it's on its way back.

duh duh duh, duh duh duh etc.

Aha. Ahahahahaha. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

LOL

About Leicester, I agree they'll find things harder this season, but I don't think they'll finish anywhere near the drop. Top half for me, and quite possibly in a Europa League spot.
