Real Madrid v Barca

Fucking Adebaycunteyor spends 2 minutes, banging on about Barca, crying on the floor, "like baby" and the bench jumping up etc, then, in the very next breath, says "they are a great club" !

Must be angling for a move, as Real aren't going to pick up his option.

Adebaytooleyor.

His selective memory knew no bounds , to say the things he did while playing in team with Di Maria , Ronaldo and the rest of them , what a fool .

Two horrible bunches of cunts on show here tonight
[/quote]

Yep, this.

I was actually enjoying the striker-less tactical battle until all the vagina-ness started happening.

Alves goes down under Pepe's tackle, and to a man the Barca players run straight to the referee. Why not run to your player to see if he's hurt?

Horrible horrible cunts. That Busquets is the worst too.

I've time for Xavi, Messi and that's it.

It's horiible times when you're wishing for that bunch of classless cunts to beat United in the Final.

I only saw the end (basically right from the first goal onwards).

Just seen the highlights. Remarkable. And some people say moaning because I don't like "modern football".

Well no I fucking don't. Pathetic.

Just be happy you're not SanJorge67, forced to cheer for one of those bunch of cunts.

Good result for neutral like us but anything can happen in Nou Camp. Just hope that Barca goes to the final and beat Manure.

You are right, but if they smashed them 5-0, I'd be jumping up and down.

It was a poor game but Messi's second goal was sensational and made it all worthwhile.

As for Barca stooping to Real's level - I'd argue it was fair enough despite the whole affair being a bad advert for football.

Everyone has expressed their dismay at the way Real has approached the last few Classicos and although they've been battered most of the time the last couple of games they looked like they might have found a way to balance things out. Barca, having lost the Copa Del Rey, I suppose went for the "results at any cost" that Mourinho always get praised for.

I think Pepe deserved to go - it was a reckless challenge with his studs up. And yeah, Busquets was a diving cheat, but then he always is.

Was Barca really stooping to any level? This is how they often end up winning when they don't get their way.

That's great and all, but I'm sick of all the praise they get as if there isn't a tippy tappy side to the dark side of football that's just as bad as the stuff Stoke does.

For all the tiki-taka talk, for all the fawning over "this is how football should be played" too many of these games are quite dismal, and are greatly influenced by refs due to the sort of play acting bullshit that ruins football.

Are you on a wind up Keni? I know you like Barca and fair enough they play some awesome football at times but they didn't stoop to anyones level; they set the bar so low even Ronaldo and Maria looked decided they couldn't match it.

As I said elsewhere, I know it happens everywhere - in the epl and at Anfield - but that was truly the worst display of hysterical, acting pricks I've ever seen. My old man rarely watches anything other than the epl and mostly us unless I sit down with him. I'm gland I didn't get him to watch it and I'm certainly not going to let him see the replay - he'd never let them on the tele again.

I think Pepe is a liability but there was no way that was a red; it was barely a yellow. Alves may be a wonderful player but I'm so gland we didn't nab him - it would turn my stomach to watch that kind of diving at Anfield. Pedro was a disgrace, Basquet's was ridiculous, Mascher's goading of Alonso reminded me what a prick he is....... I could go on and on. To be honest about the only one who wasn't diving everywhere in a Barca shirt was Messi - who, I might add, was unsighted until Pepe got marched.

Do you think Barca were that bad in the last two Classicos or indeed generally speaking?

I don't.

One or two are, like Busquets and Alves (although not as bad as he used to be).

In the last couple games everyone went on about Real's cynical tactics but credit to Mourinho he got the result he wanted. Tonight it was the other way round. I don't like to see it either, but I enjoy seeing Real get a taste of their own medicine more.

In fairness Ken, not many are going to agree with you that it was fair enough for Barca to stoop to that level.

Their antics last night were fucking deplorable, and the only saving grace from them and absolute public derision was Messi's wonderful contribution.

I'm not pro or anti Barca either way, but I was disgusted at how they performed last night.

The antics on show were pretty embarrassing, but I can understand why it went down. On the one hand, Barca get criticized for being tippy tappy bellends and on the other Mourinho's sides get praised for gaining results despite horrible cynical tactics and cheating thrown into the mix.

If Real had've won tonight and had been throwing themselves around - as they did the other week - Mourinho would've once again been proclaimed a genius who gets results and they way in which that win was achieved would've been a footnote.

Barca get showered with constant praise for being amazing and that leaves them wide open for this sort of criticism. In this case it's entirely justified, but there is no doubt that a lot of people on here have a hard-on for hating Barca. I'm not quite sure why - maybe it's cool because it's going against the grain or something.

no, you'll find most of it has to with the way they tapped up Mascherano and Torres, and how their players, at every turn for two summers in a row, told those two and the press how shit our club is and that they should leave. Fuck. Barca.

I'm not sure it's going against the grain so much these days but if you're looking for a reason I suspect you need go no further than "ArrogancE". I don't think I've heard the mancs, chelsea or even Arsenal with their "we re-defined football" approach display as much arrogance as Barca.

As for the antics on the field; I agree that Real are terrible in this area as well but not to the level that Barca stooped in this one. If that had been a display from Liverpool I wouldn't be able to show my face the next day and I'd be uncomfortable in the next leg - whether we won or not. I'm truly not exaggerating.

I do take your point that they do open themselves up to this criticism because of their claims of "beautiful football" but they were deplorable by any measurement. Maybe that's why they were so bad - because they don't usually resort to other tactics...... with the exception of Alves, Pedro, Busquet's, Mascher (who rarely plays - hope the wife is happy you prick), Villa........ I think they're the main offenders from the Nou Camp.

I don't really think they do. I think this is tongue in cheek for the most part. Certainly when it was referenced on this site it came from Brendan, who was being slightly sarcastic and he hasn't got a fucking clue anyway.

If they played the football they do and didn't win anything, then people would be a bit sterner with their TTB abuse.

I watched it in the pub and I can never pay proper attention to the game in that environment. I didn't think they were *that* bad at the time and certainly not worse than I've seen from other sides in recent times. Perhaps I came away with a better impression of the game than it deserved.

Anyways, yeah I agree. They are quite overbearing with their smugness. I read an interview with Xavi not long ago and had to cringe.

The main exposure to football I have is through here and bits and pieces on BBC Sport. I don't watch any football related TV, listen to the radio or read articles (apart from what's posted on here), so I suppose I'm less bothered by what goes on off the pitch.

I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of watching probably one of the best sides in history in the last six'ish years, so minor (which I think they are) negatives can be overlooked. If they were diving all over the place and playacting in every game, it would be a different story.

Villa? Iniesta? Pedro? All excellent players who play the game properly, though Pedro has had a poor year (compared to last year).

Lastly, I'm a big fun of Pique. He is an excellent defender, very underrated.

Pepe's was definitely a yellow - without 'slow mo', it looks like a vicious tackle. Cleats up ... Red was probably harsh, but Pepe is a cunt and going by his history, I could care less if he gets a red every match for just breathing.

Pedro a disgrace? He went down once (like every player goes down in the box) and then gets stamped on after trying to score. He didn't ask for a card, he was just hurt. Why is he a disgrace? Busquets always does this stuff - I think our future Kop hero (Suarez) has already done it once for us, and I somehow doubt anyone will be as harsh when he does it again (and again and again).
Puyol dived? Pique? Xavi?

Messi wasn't unsighted - he'd set up the best chance of the game (Xavi's shot), he just wasn't being as dominant because Jose was playing his 4 back, 3 DMs etc ...

Lastly, fuck Alonso too. Going to the ref to moan about 'diving' - Look at your own team before crying to the ref. Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't. I'm glad it didn't go Maureen's way - we don't need that cunt winning any more 'big trophies', his ego is big enough already.

Same here. You called it right in the other thread,

And personally, I would rather watch Crewe v Accrington Stanley than Barcelona v Madrid.

I addressed Pedro earlier. i can think of two times last night when he lay on the floor after fuck all contact, so he can fuck off.

Iniesta did plenty of woeful rolling around at the World Cup. Villa - I'll give you that one.

and Pique's not a great defender at all. He can pass and play no doubt, but there's no actual defending to do in that Barca team cos they keep the ball for 80% of the game and hump most teams by half a dozen anyway. Which is fortunate for him cos he's slow as cold hardened shite. He's in that Barca defence for his ability to pass out from the back more so than his actual defending. He wouldn't have got a look in at United in front of Rio and Vidic anyway.
