Both of them have been banned like Barca, for the same thing.
The ban kicks in from next month so this window is still open for them.
This royally fucks Real I'd have thought, as they need a major reshuffle in the summer most likely, and ronaldo and benzema were likely to leave, and they wanted lewandovski and teenwolf in. I can see them trying it on this month for teenwolf de gea to be fair.
They can appeal, and it'll be rejected, but unlike Barca (who got their punishment in the april I think) their appeal would be heard before the summer window so it wont make a difference.

This might stir the transfer market into life, but I still can't see big names moving this month surely.

It'd be boss if they got De Gea now, without him Utd would be in serious trouble.

At least we don't have to worry about them stealing our players, cos we don't have any worth stealing anymore.

Costa too. And Giroud. And Vardy. And Kane.

Hang on, can they sell players?

Yeah they can. The ban is on registering new players, not on the actual transferring. That's why Barca was able to buy Turan and Alexi Vidal this past summer but could only register them this month.

They've (Real) already confirmed they'll appeal it. Seeing as this process will take a long time it might not start until after the summer transfer window.
