So we all complain about footballers not having loyalty etc and then we see this interview where the guy professes a long term love for our club and you denigrate him? Come on lads, for jakers sakes. How can we take your mutterings on Torres and masher seriously If this is how you speak of xabi..
What loyalty did he show? Lovely sound bites etc etc but he left us about a week before the start of a new season.
Fuck him, i hope him and his mates Ronaldo and Mourinho win fuck all.

I'd tend to agree with this stance, but you could argue this is a slightly different scenario in that as a club, we tried to fuck him off first. Loyalty is a two way thing and we (or rather, Rafa) whored him around Europe 12 months before.
Masher and Torres on the other hand...
I dont in any way loathe Xabi in the same way as the other two mate. I just dont wanna hear the sacharine superfan shit from a bellend who left us in the shit. He could have handed in a request FIRST day of the transfer window. He didnt he fucked around for months and we panic bought Aquilani and that was the beginning of the end.

sorry chap but you either have a useless memory or a very selective one . Everyone knew he was looking to leave from a very early stage and he confirms it here himself :
"As soon as the season finished I talked to the manager. I knew that maybe Madrid were coming and I said if the terms were good then I wanted to leave."
If there was any delay it was caused by Madrid not meeting our asking price and us playing hardball on this , knowing they were spending insane amounts of money that summer . Yeah yeah , he should have handed in a transfer request and gave up his share of the deal if he really wanted it to move along , well they never do that and i doubt clubs expect or need them to do this when it comes to a big money deal ...that's just an easy way for clubs to throw heat on the player and win fan favour when a deal is stalling.
"Panic bought Aguilani" ....what ? his name was mentioned as a replacement for weeks and that was pretty much confirmed when we bought him the next day after alonso was sold . He was earmarked for quite a while.
Anyway , as has been said , this debate has been done to death , i just don't understand this stance that every player who leaves us has "fucked us over" and "if they loved us they never would have left" . Surely he can leave for personal reasons , return to his country of birth, play for a huge team there but still be allowed to express how he loved his time with us and the city .
