Raiding the Premiership

I have no idea what his situation is but I'd take Defoe if it was free or a nominal fee, just for a year. Nice option with 15 mins to go.

There's a load of talent in the Premiership and Championship (and Scotland) that would improve us, but it's harder to clarify which would be attainable, or worth the effort.

Last season it was obvious that Kante was the one player almost every fan wanted their club to buy, but I'm not sure there's a similar stand-out, obvious candidate from a "small" club this year, apart from maybe Dick.

FFS, it's not been called the Premiership for nearly a decade.

QPR's keeper is worth a look, definitely one for the future.

Fabregas mentioned earlier. I'd be worried about the fee considering his age, but for the right price, he brings experience, improves the squad and he has a proper nasty streak. Something that is really lacking in our midfield at the mo.

He could be a very useful addition to the squad to start and give 70 mins or come on when we need to see a game out. Plus he has attacking talent too. I'd be in favour.

Just as long as we are improving the squad and first XI not trying to buy cheap fixes all over the place.

Oh and West Hams left back. His name escapes me. Cresswell? He's got a Leighton Baines air about him, but he's still recovering from a major injury at the mo. I believe he's a scouser too.
