His game intelligence has been mentioned before. He speaks really well in that interview - in English too. Looking forward to seeing what he can do, he was a key player at Augsburg, helping them to 8th, 5th and 12th (when they had EL football) and playing more games than any other BL player over those 3 seasons. Augsburg had the smallest operating (transfer) budget in the BL.
Klopp seems to rate him highly and said he was his preferred CB target during last season and planning for the future. Intelligent defender and left footed. Will probably surprise a few people, myself included about how good he is, except Brendan obviously who will label him shite 15 minutes into his debut.
Not to agree with Mr Grumpy, but in this case I have to, we're only signing him because Gomez got injured, it's hardly gives me hope that he was a massive priority, despite what Jurgen says.
