How many times has he said he wants the job again now? Jog on Rafa, FSG would never put up with your bullshit.
I'm glad that he still has affection for the club. He's been relatively low profile and I thinkk that's good. Better than if he had just quit with all the ownership problems and declared that we wants to manage at a bigger club.
rafa said he loves the club and clearly it was true then and true now. I will always have affection for rafa and gh as well.

My point was that his valuation of stuff will be highly coloured by the fact that he's earned absolutely fuckloads, maybe as much as 20 million quid in the past year or so, for a series of failures.

Only a complete moron would disagree.

It's a bizarre point Krump, overshadowed once more by the people who like to highlight Rafa's failure's over his great successes.

Still, the haters don't get it. He brought us more success than the previous three managers combined. Yet you complain. Just a bunch of ingrates. Yes he had his flaws. Yes, he was infuriating. But yes, we were always in the CL, three semi's, two finals, and more.

I love the fact he still thinks to manage us is a "Dream". I hope he continues to talk about us. In fact, if Kenny moved on in a few years, hopefully, we'd be lucky to have a manager like Rafa, that catapulted us back into Europe and England's Elite.

I just can't believe how disrespectful some are to a man that brought me my happiest times as a Liverpool fan since 1990.

it really is pathetic and ludicurous to denigrate Benitez's achievements and the man himself who has nothing but respect for the city and the club, a man who lets not forget has supported numerous local charities and donated substantial sums to the Hillsborough justice campaign .

it actually makes me rather sad these people call themselves fans at all.

I think the pair of you are purposefully missing my point.

I'm saying that he seemingly hasn't got a clue about the value of stuff. It's got nothing to do with his achievements.

He has not earned anywhere near 20 million in the last year, how many times do you need to be told

produce the evidence or fuck off

I thought the Hodgson era, or I mean "days", might put things in perspective, but it seems not. They slag off our greatest manager since Kenny, like he achieved nothing. I honestly don't get it.

Krump, no we've just moved onto other points 😉

Very cleverly done Gene!

CL winner 2005, last 16 2006, final 2007 (he lost that final), semis 2008, quarters 2009, out in group phase 2009/2010

Rafa's famous facts.

Lordy dordy. I didn't realising you two were shagging him.

I'm not bothered that he earned fuckloads. I'm saying that it will cloud his idea of how easy money is gained and lost, the value of the stuff. Do you understand that?

So when he bought Torres for 20 million he obviously had no idea of value despite the fact that we got, err, good value.

I see your point makes startling sense <heavy dose of sarcasm in case your brain can't process it>

Pepe Reina at £6m would be another example of Benitez's terrible valuation methods. Or Alonso at £10m (sold for £30m).

I like utterly destroying you Krump, you make it far too easy

We're still waiting for your evidence that he earned 20 million in one year, a claim you repeated no less than twice in this thread. I suspect we'll be waiting a long time.

Now do us a favour and fuck off.

Alonso for 10, sold for 30. But wait, didn't he also buy badly? YESS! As all managers do!

Krump, I don't know the man's financial views. He was seen haggling over the price of a quart of milk at the local Tesco last week though, if that helps..

Are you round there now jerking him off?

I always compare Rafa's CL success to the time Houllier got to the CL Quarter Final against European Giants Bayern Leverkusen. Subbed off Didi for Smicer, and the team collapsed, and we were thrown out of the tournament ignominiously.

Maybe the Haters would prefer that kind of CL performance instead?

yes localny, just made a quick edit

10m and sold for 30m now that's good business. Reina could be sold tomorrow for a similar amount, those 3 players alone cost £36m and would return over 100 million

Rafa's transfers were actually excellent value.

He bought Robbie Keane for £20M. Fantastic value.

Does Rebel want to join Brendan on TLW?

Are ya threatening him Boss?

I'm not a hater. I loved the dude at one point and haven't spoken badly about him. I just got a pair of morons on my case claiming I have.

For fuck's sake, why does every thread concerning Benitez have to turn into people leaping in and aggressively shouting about his achievements?

He did many good things. He did many bad things. He got the sack. The end.

This thread is based on an interview he has done. Noone is disrespecting him, slagging him off or anything. It seems to me that Krump just made quite a light hearted point and has been leapt on by the Benitez defence league!

Just asking. 8)

No worries Le Chacal...just got wrong impression 😉

Richey, it's not at Master Krump, - there was quite a few posters getting their digs in, and I'm just saying I don't get the hate. Read the whole thread mate.

He made a false claim with no evidence to paint a former manager in bad light, that is hardly light hearted.

Neither is the personal insults he has posted.

I'm not surprised you're defending this idiotic poster.

LMAO....

You mean simply because Rafa earned 20 million in the past year (dont know where it came from but play along anyway), he overvalued what Torres's worth (70M) last summer? When he's actually still the manager and probably received actual calls from other clubs? When Man City obviously showed interests and were used to pay over the top money for players they want (http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jul/26/manchester-city-liverpool-Fernando-Torres).

And you actually call other posters morons if they disagree with your logic? what a joke!

Benitez had his chance, fucked it up, and rightly left for pastures new. Torres was one of his key signings, and given that he has been passed on this week, its not really a surprise for Rafa to use that opportiunity to draw attention to his linkage with the player.

Whether he thinks Torres has been sold for less, the same, or more than his actual value is utterly, utterly meaningless - he is biased towards the player, and (arguably) is one of the key reasons for the player not being settled at the club (given our lack of CL place).

Given the unsubstantiated utter fucking dross Rebel spouts on here, I would suggest taking another poster to task on a couple of light hearted posts about Rafa earning a shitload for fuck all this year (and losing persepctive on true monetary value) is glorious lack of self awareness.

I don't think he actually believes that Benitez does not understand the value of money

You know, not everyone takes everything as literally and seriously as you do, but given that you are mental that is probably understandable

Jeebus. I've hardly posted about Rafa on here at all. I didn't realise that making any comments that aren't caveated by the fact that I like guy (I do) led to you being gang-interfucked by a bunch of cum-guzzling bellends
