Rafa confirmed as new Chelsea boss

The reason an ignoramus might think he worked with the best financial conditions ever is that they don't understand the great inflation that pushed up prices and incomes throughout football during his stay. The extent to which he had a measure of financial clout was largely due the excessive CL revenues that he himself was largely responsible for generating.

Nope.

Tv deals. He had nothing to do with them.

I hate that he attends the Hillsborough memorials.
I hate him for donating money to the Hillsborough foundation
I hate that he brought back Fowler.
I hate that he called Everton a small club.
I hate that he turned us into the team to beat in Europe.
I hate him for rebuilding the Academy
I hate him for buying Sterling, Suso, Shelvey
I hate that he stills loves Liverpool
I hate that he loves the city

etc.

I have great resect for Rafa, am really sickened he has gone to Chelsea where the fans are already against him. Shows what clueless, classless fucks they are.

Also just know we will meet them at some stage in the Europa league now.

The evidence would suggest Chelsea fans aren't as clueless as people make out.

They aren't taken in by flukey CL wins, unlike us

Is this the bit where we all get reminded how great Rafa was at regenerating funds, on the shit signings he made?

What kind of club is more befitting of his talent and status? Chelsea is a big club, with big resources and can attract top players. Given his most recent track record I'd say he's quite lucky he has landed the job to be honest!

I hate Chelsea. So any club that I don't hate is befitting! 🙂

"Chelsea is a big club but I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what."
Rafa Benitez 2007.

Where's the respect?

Pete

I think Ross would be happy if our wage bill stayed at 2004 levels when we were the THIRD biggest payers in the league. To think the likes of Alonso Torres Mascher etc etc would come to play for the love of the club is just stoopid. Who negotiated Gerrards' or Carras' lucrative contract - Rafa ? I don't think so. Income has gone up so have players wages - as at EVERY club - funny how our wage to income ratio has hardly changed in the last 10 years. Ross you are obviously an intelligent chap and are entitled to hate Rafa but really you should get your facts straight

Rafas last 4 transfer windows were so poor I dont think I'd trust him with 100 mill.

Since 2003 when Abramovitsj took over, Chelsea have won more titles and cups than Utd. Yet they've changed managers 9 times. Not the best job to walk in to...

He said it 2007, Fabs. I think that quote is taken out of context. He was employed by us back then and he basically said that he'd never consider leaving us for Chelsea.
Things change however when you're out of a job for 2 years.

I fully expect to hear about his first interview to the shitrag within 2 weeks.

The only thing that really pisses me off is that we got rid of Aquafanny.

God, we could have got millions from the chavs now.

The biggest question is: can he adopt a standard cockney walk?
He's gotta stroll out on the Bridge in a standard cockney walkabout on sunday, and the Chelsea fans will love him.

I don't "hate" Rafa, in some respects I admire him, but I am acutely aware if his many shortcomings, which severely hampered his footballing decisions, and business thinking.
Do I like him more than I despise Chelsea, who are the epitome and cause of all that is wrong in football, and a significant factor in our decline - not by a long way, so I hope he crashes and burns in spectacular fashion, taking them with him.
I think its a marriage of convenience for two desperate parties, that can't see they are diametrically opposed to each other

regards

Indeed, they reckon there's already a deal for Pep in the summer. I don't get why he's putting himself under the spotlight when he can't do right for doing wrong. Least popular caretaker since Ian Huntley.
