I hate that he attends the Hillsborough memorials.
I hate him for donating money to the Hillsborough foundation
I hate that he brought back Fowler.
I hate that he called Everton a small club.
I hate that he turned us into the team to beat in Europe.
I hate him for rebuilding the Academy
I hate him for buying Sterling, Suso, Shelvey
I hate that he stills loves Liverpool
I hate that he loves the city

etc.

Yeah, I'll be supporting Chelsea as well now as long as he's there. What some of our fans say about him is pretty disgusting.

Are you joking or serious? If it's the latter, then the bolded bit above is pretty disgusting as well.

I hate that he attends the Hillsborough memorials.-that was nice
I hate him for donating money to the Hillsborough foundation - this was nice
I hate that he brought back Fowler. - this was nice for fowler
I hate that he called Everton a small club. - cool
I hate that he turned us into the team to beat in Europe. - and then turned us into the beaten team in europe
I hate him for rebuilding the Academy - hes done well
I hate him for buying Sterling, Suso, Shelvey - Shelvey was apparantly kenny

etc.

I don't hate Rafa and I don't understand when people say they do. Sure he went a bit mental and stuff but everything he did was what he believed was best for the club so I don't get the haters. I think it was time for him to go but never, absolutely fucking never, for the likes of Hodgson. That decision has fucked us up big time because it set a whole chain of fuck ups into play. At the same time as Rafa had to go it has to be appreciated that what he had to work with financially was shite too and you can't help thinking what players he'd have spent £100m instead of the shite Dalglish and Comolli bought

There's a difference between not blaming him judge (which I get) and other people saying "I hope he does well"

They're unrelated viewpoints.

FFF said he doesn't blame him but hasn't said he hopes he does well.

DING DING ... Modo says he hopes he does well, which means Chelsea do well. I think it's a brilliant career move for him, but I hope he doesn't do well.

I think we've seen what he did with 240m so we don't need any more evidence. He had more money than any other LFC manager ever, doubled the wage bill, and then garnered sympathy for himself by telling lies that people still to this day believe despite the proof existing that he was talking shit all along.

As for the doing what's best for the club - he did what was best for himself. The contract, the pay off while having a job lined up.

Di Matteo couldn,t release the potential in that Cheslea squad due to him being much stronger in the destructive part than the creative part. The same really goes for Rafa. In Rafa style you need wingers who are able to protect the full backs, not fullbacks able to asists the wingers. I also find it very interesting that the first hurdle is Man City, a match he definately will go out to salvage a point. I look forward to see how he sets up the team for that one!

I don't see how any Liverpool supoorter can not want Rafa the man to do well, he loves the city, the people and the club with a passion and I have great respect for that man.

Rafa the manager is a slightly different kettle of fish. I'd like to see City and Chelsea (and 17 other clubs) finish above United, so if that means wishing him well then so be it. He is too good a manager to be sitting on the sidelines and pretty much every manager in Europe wold jump at the chance to manage Chelsea and Abro's pockets. Hopefully this means at the end of the season he is taken on by a club more befitting his talents and status.

Of course I hope that we beat them 3-0 every time we play them.

I can work with this!

I never said that I hope he does well. At least I don't think I did . brb.

Andy is obviously being harsh, Modo too nice ... The middle ground is basically Froggie/FFF ... Respect the man? Good, we should - he's a part of our illustrious history. Respect the manager? Fuck no, he manages the most horrible team in recent history. It's fucking Chelsea. How can I wish him well? I'd wish him well if he was managing any team bar Manure, Everton and Chelsea. Oh well, I hope he enjoys himself and at least does enough to position himself for a big job in Spain or Italy (though it's doubtful considering his reputation in the country after Inter).

Well, we'll have to disagree on that Ross. Don't get me wrong either - I want him to fail at Chelsea, badly. That's because I want Chelsea to fail. Seeing how their fans are so wound up is quite funny it has to be said

Nope, never said that I hope he does well.

Fine, you said you were happy for him, which i fundamentally dont understand

"Chelsea is a big club but I would never take that job, in respect for my former team at Liverpool, no matter what." Rafa Benitez 2007.

So he's a liar and dishonours the city and club he loves.

I wish him nothing but misery while he's there. I hope the fans do walk out. I hope the players revolt.

He said it 2007, Fabs. I think that quote is taken out of context. He was employed by us back then and he basically said that he'd never consider leaving us for Chelsea.
Things change however when you're out of a job for 2 years.

Disagree on what?

You can't disagree that he had in recent history the best set of financial circumstances to work in, it's a fact. Compare things any way you like. The interest payments were a red herring, I said it at the time and with every passing year it becomes more evident. If the reason he couldn't spend money was interest payments then we'd have been able to spend net about 120m at this point, without owner assistance. We're not even close to that.

The problem which Rafa faced is the one that Rodgers faces, no liquidity because the wage bill is too high. But Rodgers inherited the problem, Rafa created it.

As for doing what's best for the club, by all means disagree. But airing your dirty laundry in public, screwing the club over in contract negotiations, constantly threatening to leave, negotiating behind the clubs back etc etc ? Not in the clubs interest

He said stuff that fans would like, but I thought everyone could see through that shit

So how come one of the best managers evah was out of work for 2 years?

Was it because he turned his nose up at lots of jobs?

If he wanted to work he could have got a decent job easily. He didn't because he hoped we'd fuck up and hire him after roy....then after kenny. He couldn't move on because he'd turned into a twisted headcase. Hes jumped on this job now because its short term and he's trying to prove to people he can still do it. Why not just go for a job earlier and do the "wonders" that he apparantly did for us.

He took it now because Rodgers might go in the summer, or Jose will go in the summer. It's his last chance to impress, and he's picked a fucking easy team to do it in, whilst ignoring all the fans who loved him previous.

Fuck me, its a proper cult with you people

My mate just rang me convinced that Chelsea to win the league at 6/1 is buying money.

They can't fucking possibly not win it by miles now. I was all like 'fuck off nobhead... but stick a tenner on for me....'

The reason an ignoramus might think he worked with the best financial conditions ever is that they don't understand the great inflation that pushed up prices and incomes throughout football during his stay. The extent to which he had a measure of financial clout was largely due the excessive CL revenues that he himself was largely responsible for generating.

I can work with this!

What kind of club is more befitting of his talent and status? Chelsea is a big club, with big resources and can attract top players. Given his most recent track record I'd say he's quite lucky he has landed the job to be honest!
