Rafa Benítez interview with Sports Illustrated

Yeah I know, I kinda realised the comeback would rightly be about what's been spent, Kenny could have turned us into one.

Rafa is the only available manager I trust to bring us back. Available being the key-word.

i didnt think i wanted rafa back, but those interviews are changing my mind (only if kenny walked mind, which i dont think he should just yet), im just confident that rafa knows what he's talking about and what he wants to do, should never have gone in the first place, fuck you hindsight

How many other available managers are there?

Avram Grant got Chelsea to a CL final, beating us along the way if I remember correctly. Tactical genius him.
Got his team to second in the league as well.

Shit, he's with Partizan.

That's me too. Think it's a bit of rose-tinted glass.

But, if he went to manage somebody else in England, and it was clear he had improved he would be worth considering. Would rather see him elsewhere first than just going back and finding ourselves having the same issues we had with him previously after 6 months.

Hence the reason for all these interviews I suspect.
I have mostly fond memories of Rafa but he is circling like a vulture over the struggling manager that is Kenny at the moment.

I don't think Rafa has it in him to improve, because I don't think he has it in him to change, period. Whoever signs him up will be getting the same considerable qualities he showed with us and the same problems to go with them.
