Got to be careful of injuries obviously so will obviosly be changes. Thiago, Morton,Ox in mid. Not a lot of options up front. Mini & Gordon and Jota maybe. Options in defence. Might not make wholesale changes because Klopp doesn't give games away easily. We are Liverpool and this game is still there to be won.

Can Gordon play? I thought he wasn’t eligible.

happy to hear klopp's approach here.

CBs - not an issue (konate, phillips)
RB - not an issue - Gomez or Neco
LB - Tsimikas hasn't played that much

CM - Morton for sure takes one spot
CM - Ox can take one spot - he's in good form, and the rhythm helps him.

LW/CF/RW - taki takes one spot
LW/CF/RW - Gordon as per the Frogman can take one spot, and if not, origi if healthy.

The Ox has to start, he was a monster on Saturday and we need inform midfielders. most of our issues are with players who need a run in the side and this season we are light in the midfield department.

Yep - i would like to see the trio of Fabinho, Thiago & Ox for the Southampton match at the weekend too.

You thought Ox was good at the weekend as well? We did at the pub but most of the comments on here were quite negative.

Easily one of his best games since his injury, his press on Tavares led directly to Jota's goal on Saturday, just as vital as the assist imo.

I heard that Gordon cant play for us in Europe, as Barcelona still owe us some instalments for Coutinho

The Ox will probably start but have to say his first touch is average. He has to work as hard as he did V Arsenal every time.He won't start we we have a fully fit midfield so he has to put in a serious shift tonight to state his case for more game time. Apart from the usual suspects up front we are looking a bit threadbare striker wise.
Expecting a low key game.

Liverpool: Alisson, Williams, Matip, Konate, Tsimikas, Morton, Thiago, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Salah, Minamino.
Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Fabinho, Van Dijk, Milner, Henderson, Jota, Robertson, Origi, Phillips, Alexander-Arnold.

Dont understand why Kelleher is not playing - not so much to protect Alisson from injury, but to give the lad a run out in Europe

Not surprised it's a strong side. The game is there to be won. This is not the League cup and fans coming to the game deserve to see top players. Won't be the same intensity obviously. Good chance to see Morton.
