Utter frustration throughout. Great feed but the damn internet is broken over here due to the Govt. shite going on in BJ this week. All back to normal next week we are told. Still between 6CM and RC (such misery - what a delight) I was kept partially entertained.

the annoying thing is we could've REALLY put the hurt on Utd tonight but some slack finishing kept the score line at more respectable levels . Also means we've really got to show up next week

We should've killed this tie today though. They'll have to come out and play a more risky game next week which will suit us, but how I wish we'd nailed a third or even a fourth. They were absolutely awful.

The roller coaster ride will probably continue for them with them smashing West Ham in the FA Cup this weekend.

Martial looks like he'll be some player under proper management.

The only minor complain is Coutinho's finish. That really should have been a goal, but other than that it was close to perfect. We played them off the park. This is a sweet day.

We're better away from home, too. We could do them by a couple of goals at their place. I don't want victory. I want humiliation.

Hahaha. Scholes is still going!

He's just said Fellaini makes at least 15 fouls a match & whenever he played against him he elbowed someone at least once. Then added "if he wasn't going to get banned he will be after I've said that" as he realised what he was saying on TV!

If Fellaini doesn't get banned for that Elbow, then I seriously give up..

Thing is five Officials in the pitch, how the fuck was that missed?

This Scholes , Ferdinand and Mcmanaman discussion is nearly as good as the match. They need to put Scholes on suicide watch , he's proper gutted and Mcmanaman is winding him up every chance he gets.

This is the Lallana that we paid money for. When fit and playing regularly, he glides across the pitch and is always looking to create. Carra slagged him saying he offers nothing in respect of goals or assists, but the last 10 games has seen him start to really influence these stats. Plus his feet are like silk [emoji533]

Sakho - I dunno what's happened to him, but he's gone so so far backwards as compared to some of his earlier performances this year..
Really ? I didn't see that either in this thread or on RC. In fact this is what the Echo (Prentice) said :

The Kop uses one word to sum up their favourite centre-half.
They shout “Sakho” - over and over again.
Social media philosopher Joseph Barton uses several.
“Mamadou Sakho is the most unorthodox, unbalanced effective defender on the planet,” he tweeted. “Watching him is similar to a clown spinning plates. You are just waiting for them to smash on the floor. Yet somehow he keeps it going. He's a genius.”
With Sakho your eyes really do deceive you.
The powerful Frenchman appears ungainly, on the point of falling over and sometimes treats ball control like a kitten with a ping pong ball.
But he doesn't lose control. And boy is he effective.
He was at the heart of a supremely disciplined defensive performance last night.
A clean sheet was more vital than the two goals Liverpool plundered.
And their clown prince was largely responsible.
Allez Sakho!

Lallana played very well. Starting to look like a £25 million player.
Loved that little dribble he pulled off towards the end.

Anfield pitch afterwards....

And watching Scholes trying his best not to swear is the best TV I've seen in a while.
Still trying to decide if this is better than the post match vs Crystal Palace thread.

Both are very very very enjoyable 🙂

That describes him quite well but his heading really frustrates me. It's not that he doesn't win the ball in the air but it's like he closes his eyes when he heads it as it could go anywhere. He's a likeable lad but at the moment Lovren looks like the player we hoped he'd be and Sakho seems to be trying much harder to keep up.
In Sakho's defence though he's also got Moreno next to him who is much less reliable defensively than Clyne on the other side.
