If that's true, then he needs to fucking sort his shit out.Apparently Sahko fucked off home today when he was told that he wasn't in the squad
Too right. Either take it like a man and improve, or fuck off.If that's true, then he needs to fucking sort his shit out.
Ok ... I only watched 7 minutes worth of highlights ...
* Everton created nothing - not one good chance. Nothing even troubled Mign. Good defense? Good midfield play? What changed?
* We created numerous chances it seems - and Mario should have ended the game.
* That was a blatant penalty - like Eto'o's while at Barca vs Chelsea in the dying minutes of the game in the CL when Ballack went crazy.
Ming - 6 - sod all to do really bar one excellent save .. oh no that was Lloris in the later match, my mistake. No he had fuck all to do.
Moreno - 6 - can't blame him for being out-muscled by the boy-monster Lukaku. Love his pace and determination but does need to time his tackles a little better at times.
Lovern - 7.5 - thought he had an excellent game, moving out of defence into midfield to hold up potentially dangerous attacking breaks before returning to CB when the danger had passed or our midfield had got back.
Skrtel - 6.5 - did what he had to do unspectacularly.
Manquillo - 6.5 - had his hands full with first Moralis and then Baines/McGeady but coped pretty well. One superb run deserved to have set up a goal.
Gerrard - 7 - substantial improvement in movement, the same range of good to excellent passing and a good goal, even though Howard should have saved it. FKs were off today.
Henderson - 6.5 - I didn't see what others seem to have seen today, a couple of very good passes and the usual harrying aside. Made a couple of defensive errors that on another day could have had repercussions.
Markovic - 4 - he isn't a winger so we should stop playing him there. He looked much better when BR moved him more centrally at HT, he looked far more confident there. Still, he isn't as good as our other options there. Whether he just hasn't settled/matured yet I don't know so we need to give him lots of time. Obviously BR is seeing something in training that isn't translating into match day performances.
Lallana - 8 - another big 'Fuck You Modo'. Brilliant feet, running down defenders all day long (you were saying Dantes ?) and as someone said above, the perfect description of him as the 'White Sterling'. It is so frustrating though, without runners - that you can see him looking for - a lot of his effort is going to waste. He could be brilliant with Studge.
Sterling - 7.5 - Another excellent performance. Good tracking back and defence and once he had the ball at his feet was always looking to make things happen.
Balotelli - 6 - I want to give him more, at times his effort was excellent, at others far less so. At times I thought he was going to blow one through the net, at others he was wasteful. And then there were those two misses, misses that cost us 2 points and him 1.5 points on his score.
Coutinho - 7 - slick passing, vision. tricky feet and a much improved performance. Every time we drop him he seems to come back like this, I just wish he could sustain it.
BR - 5 - I'm marking him down because a) he didn't go with the 2 up front (Balo & Sterling) I wanted to see to have the fast striker-on-the-shoulder that Lallana & Couninho needs, and b) because he inanely started Markovic over Suso or Coutinho. At least he saw the error of his ways after 56 mins but that was too late and I think that decision cost us 2 points.
Overall, a much improved performance, more akin to the Spurs match, unlucky not to get a cast-iron penalty and to lose 2 points to a hail-Mary, but worldly, strike in injury time. If we play like this from now on (but with Studge replacing Markovic in the team) we'll win more often than not.
Modo was sat behind you?Fella behind me at the match dislikes Lallana, Mario, Markovic and Moreno.
I could tell because when Lallana was outmuscled on occasion, he kept saying "he's too weak", whereas when sterling was muscled off it was silence.
Can understand Sakhos frustration when being left out of the 18 man squad with Kolo Toure in there instead.
Michael Owen certainly threw away all of that recent PR crap about how 'Liverpool is in my heart' etc etc. From the initial 'I'm very torn today' through to his endless moans about Balotelli, he was a right pain in the arse.
The draw wouldn't have felt quite so bad had it not been against a team whose nitwit supporters celebrated it like it was a cup win. What an absolute shower they are.
One of the worst moments for me was when Ming just stood silently on his line when his defender was waiting for
him to either shout or come for the ball. I don't go with laying all the blame with Mignolet but my god sometimes he acts like he's in a trance.
Two positives: our right and left backs looked as if they're going to get better and better. I wasn't convinced by Manquillo in his first couple of games but he's really settling down.
This had me absolutely roaring at the telly. Skrtel was hold the player of waiting for Mignolet to come and collect. Instead he just stood in his goal and the ball barely got across the endline.

1. I think the midfield was key. The triangle of Gerrard, Henderson and Lallana had too much energy and quality for Everton, so our defense was relatively untroubled, bar Lukaku (who played on the right wing) outmuscling Moreno on occasion. But the center of defense has improved too with Skrtel back to fitness and Lovren looking noticeably calmer on the left side. Finally, Sterling and Markovic were clearly instructed to track back at first sign of danger, so they both played more like wide midfielders rather than wing-forwards. Everton's best chance in the 1st half came after Markovic copied the Moreno-vs-City blunder and Baines crossed for an easy tap-in – fortunately Lovren managed to hack it clear.
2. Howard showed once again is a good goalkeeper – had he not been so alert and error-free all game, Everton would have conceded a few more.
3. There was also probably a penalty on Lukaku in the first few minutes of the game. But Barry's handball was more blatant – it's just inexplicable how this was not a penalty. Barry should have been sent of after 20 minutes too for repeated bad tackles. Refereeing was just comically bad a times.
I've completely had it with Mignolet. He's shite.
He actually wasn't at fault for the goal yesterday, but you can tell he's a fucking nightmare to play in front of.
I can't be arsed wrtiing a proper assessment of that largely limpless dirge, I just wanted to vent about Mignolet really.
Oh, and Markovic will be quality. Stick with him.
