It's not just about a manager getting us playing good football.
The thing that worries me with Rafa is his penchant for bloating our squad with slow, unathletic, average football players. He generally gets his tactics ok, and we do TRY to play good football. The problem is about only 6, maybe 7 players in our entire squad a capable of it (physically and technically).
United and Fergie generally seem to buy skillful, technical, quick players. Arsenal similar. Chelsea go for powerful, athletic footballers. Lyon just looked a yard quicker and far too technical for us tonight. And they played shite but still won!
We also seem to struggle against pace of any sort (Bent, Hines, Drogba, Jokevtic). If Rafa is sacked it'll be his transfer policy which will be his undoing rather than his directions on the field.
