People are calling him, outside the Liverpool circle, as the best left back in world football. I don't know that's right, but I definitely don't know it's wrong. And that's a very good place for a lad to be.
Best LB in my lifetime for sure. Never seen him riding a hoverboard. Never seen him posing. Just seen him somehow fly from relegated Hull to deserved repeated CL finalist. Incredible

As often in life it's as much about the journey as it is the destination. How much have I loved this season, regardless of whether we end up with a trophy or not. (obviously I'd prefer the double but that's not the point)
How can you not love this 'journey'. We made it harder than it should be to get out of the group but the feeling now is of ... immense pride.
How can you not love this club? Looking at the faces of those fans, I’m sure for some of them they will remember this as one of the happiest nights of their lives. So will the players. We just need to end this season with a trophy.
Oh dont get me wrong, this is the best season of my life so far bar Istanbul, (and I've watched the Barca replay 30 times already) but it could be 10 times better two weeks later.

If that happens, I'll be permanently scarred like I was for Gerrard's slip, and all the good that came before it will be seriously marred and I wouldn't be able to enjoy any of it as I'll just be thinking about what it led to.
I have a horrible feeling this nightmare scenario is going to be the outcome. It'd just be too perfectly awful. I even tried to trick the gods by saying a month ago that exactly this would happen.

Of course not. But whatever happens in the next two matches will not change the 50+ hours of pure footballing joy, plus the countless hours reveling in superb victories and performances, that this team have given us over the last 9 months.
