PL behind closed doors

You'd be surprised how many believe it

I'm more surprised that any Liverpool supporter gives a shit what they think.

We've had a lot of experience rationalising the success of other teams. Did it really give us any satisfaction?

The important thing right now is for us to all decide whether it would be more fun to watch us win the league and parade the trophy, or watch the world burn and die.

After winning it and seeing us celebrate in a packed Liverpool will be enough for me. After the parade, World War Z can start for all that I care.

No games behind closed doors yet. Government reckon we'll be at peak later & don't want to start doing those measures yet.

If players get confirmed with it then I reckon it'll get suspended anyway though.

Why would they wait until its peak before they start trying to prevent its spread?

An unnamedCity player is self-isolating, bets on the Burnley game being 'postponed'?

Ha! At the same moment I typed the last post my 'phone popped up a message saying all EPL games will go ahead this weekend

Their logic makes perfect sense, all of it.

Their timeline doesn't seem to, just looking at the timeline of Italy for example, but then I have no doubt they're much smarter than I am, so I'll just take their word.

The timeline makes no sense from the Govt. But like I said to my missus.. they had to say 4 weeks behind Italy to stop any mass hysteria. Also I get their logic in trying to minimise the length of self isolation as people will go stir crazy and start to break curfews etc etc.

They can't say 2 weeks because everyone will be trying to buy loo roll again next week.

All the models suggest we should be in lock down by next weekend. So let's see what happens.

They said they want to bring the measures in before the peak as during the peak is when there are more carriers (who almost all survive) who could potentially pass it to the most vulnerable.

Their logic is starting it too early could mean people are forced (lack of supplies etc) to leave isolation, or get bored of it after weeks & unintentionally spread it to the elderly & at risk in the process.

Fuck loo roll. There's loads of it in the shops. Pasta, now that's run out fucking everywhere, which is a fucking problem in our house.

Premier League statement: “In light of Arsenal’s announcement confirming that first-team coach Mikel Arteta has tested positive for COVID-19, the Premier League will convene an emergency club meeting tomorrow morning regarding future fixtures.”
No way games can continue now.

OK, so the only hope is PL deciding to award us the title rather than declaring the season null and void. I think it would make sense. For relegation/promotion and other European spots, they can schedule a play-off for some time in the summer between all teams who are in the running.

Quelle surprise that its the bottom six clubs that want the season to be voided and cancelled.

Suspend it for a period of time and then play the rest at the later date. The Euros will be moved.

Nulling the league after 30 games is mental.

Hudson-odoi is positive

Andh played Everton last week

So no doubt some Everton cunts got it

Done fam

Anyway..

Now, if the league's abandoned, they won't announce any champions, or relegated sides I'd wager

And if they don't there's always going to be a big ol' * next to our title

London will go into lockdown in a couple of weeks, if not sooner.. no coincidence we are hearing infection cases from Arsenal and Chelsea

It's seeing the worse of cases in the UK, and its going to get far far worse

I don't understand why the government is not encouraging social distancing, banning public transport, closing schools, etc etc.. London will be a pandemics dream with this virus at the moment.. The current situation will see the NHS fall on its arse, years of austerity will be shown right up with this..

It's almost as if they are encouraging the virus to spread, let it take its course, attempt build a immunity to it..

All other countries are now taking drastic action, just typical of the UK to think they know better..

His take it on the chin and we are going to see loved ones die comments says it all for me. Economy before public health..

See, your original post implied that it HAD gone in to lockdown

Not an eventuality which everyone could see happening anyway

FFS jono, be careful how you word things mate.

You're probably right, eventually it may well do. I'd argue the lockdowns should already be in place, but it seems the government experts disagree.

Seems a bit mad when all of Europe's experts disagree

The fact that northern Ireland is having different procedures than Ireland is just....next level fuckwittery
