Apparently he's going nowhere.

There should statements/comments out to confirm this from the player or those close to him in the next couple of days
Huzzah. Pepe rocks !!!
Yeah, heard this shizzle from El Cunto too. I don't trust any of them bar the scousers and Dirk.
because scousers have never threatened to leave, handed in transfer resquests or left on bosmans.

Gerrard did. Changed his mind of course but did all the same

For 35m we can buy a very good goalie for 15m and spunk the 20m on a very good Defensive midfielder. I would say thank you Fergie for the rejuvenation of LFC now that we have Roman to thank for the 50m. FSG will only have to spend 20m+8m to get a classy winger (after getting rid of JC and Poulsen for 8m)

I will be happy like that.

Pepe will dismiss this. Liverpool are going places and Pepe will be a part of it.

IF and IF he did leave I would only want one player to replace him, Neuer of Germany. I'd be shocked if United don't make him their number one target.

Someone has done a rough translation on another forum.

it was actually a couple of interviewers in discussion with reina and torres, talking about the national team as well as their respective clubs.

reina was saying that he is now the last of the spanish in liverpool and that the club is in a time of transition. there are other spanish speakers in suarez, maxi but it feels different.

he says that liverpool is always and has always been a big team, but its currently not on level of others like arsenal, man u, chelsea and man city. currently liverpool are not challenging so you have to respect decision of torres and hopes fans will remember good times he gave us.
he jokes that torres believes he's the best and so he has to go for it

torres comes on and presenters joke that he's deserted his spanish friend. torres hopes the fans understand his motives and decisions
blah blah, opportunities, blah blah. they all say that football is like that now. reina and torres agree that is normal for players to change clubs now if they think there are better opportunities elsewhere. torres says he still feels a lot for the city and the people.

torres says it felt very strange playing against his old team mates at first, but as game went on he felt ok. he jokes that reina asked him not to score. through the whole thing its obvious that reina and torres are good friends. torres says he doesn't feel pressure from the price paid for him because he was already most expensive signing at liverpool. he wanted to get over year of injuries and disappointment in all aspects of his play but liverpool due to all the shít going on wasn't offering him what he needed, chelsea seemed to be the light at the end of the tunnel for him.

reina says again that the hardest thing is saying goodbye to friends, they both talk about the pleasure of sharing family life which is now finished between them.

reina says his place is in england and a return to spain would be difficult, especially as the 2 biggest teams have good keepers. the interviewer mentions that man u and arsenal are looking for keepers. reina agrees that they are and that he can't say anything as his contract is with liverpool. he admits that everybody likes being in teams that fight for titles. he says liverpool always fought for titles but sadly liverpool last 2 years not like that. he wants to be with the best and win things.

what was sad about torres and pepe (if he leaves) is they would have left because they felt/feel their ambitions of silverware couldn't be satisfied at liverpool and that's disappointing.

if pepe wants to stay we shouldn't ever think of selling him. good keepers are like gold dust and over the course of a season can probably make 10 more points for the team they would normally have lost.

The best scenario for me is that Pepe stays. However, having witnessed what money can do to players, I am prepared for the worst and make the best out of it.

fair enough. if arsenal for instance came calling, they're in the CL, have a fantastic base when the fair play rules are introduced and will move closer to his mate torres (may be a big deal for his wife).
I'm braced for it but it will still hurt like heck.

Lads. Stop panicking. The future is bright at Liverpool. Pepe knows that
Tell me about it ...

Calm down spidey - you're acting like a froth at the mouth coyote. CHILL

Come on Sunny, you must know by now that neil is - to say the least - not big on listening to what others say, and VERY big on panic.

You're right of course - Pepe does know we're back on track, which is important because it chimes in with his obvious keenness to win things, and I'm also encouraged by the emphasis he places on friendships being so important, because he'll have others at Liverpool that he won't want to break. Nor would he be able to keep up with Torres and his family any better if he went to the Mancs. The Arse would admittedly be another matter, but I don't believe he'll be daft enough to imagine he'll be closer to winning things there than he will at the club we're now becoming. You can maybe see in that interview a coded warning that we need to keep up investment as well as improvement, but we all know that anyway.

Wenger won't spend 35 mill on Pepe Reina. That won't happen.

And while we're at it, why would he go there anyway? They've won less than us for the last years.
Even with the financial rules Wenger will always be a couple of players short of success with his current tactic.

He won't join Utd. Chelsea doesn't need a new gk and neither does City.
He didn't have a release clause so there was no obligation.
I thought he went to some court or other to get a judgement that they didnt have to sell to a rival

I don't mean scousers in general. As everybody knows scousers are devious and untrustworthy 😉.

I mean SG won't go anywhere now and we'd need a crowbar to prise Carra away. So they're safe.

Maybe I'm wrong, but again I don't think there was a clause. Fergie had agreed with Heinze that he could leave the club, but when we came in Fergie said I don't fucking think so. Heinze tried to challenge this. At least, that is how I remember it.

He said he could leave to anyone but Liverpool. Heinze had some kind of clause I think, but Fergie would challenge it as long as he could if Heinze choosed Pool.
