From Babel's Twitter

How bad we were yesterday, Paul Konchesky didn't deserved to be treated like that ...
He's right.

On the flip sicde, he's a fucking waste of space who's done shite all at this club and clearly doesn't give a fuck about it. See out your contract Babel and then fuck off because you're one of the thickest lame arsed football player ever to wear the red shirt. Gobshite.

I thought he did nothing wrong defensively last night and had no option down the line all night last night.

The shouts and sarcastic cheer when he was subbed was not nice to see.
I'm not entirely in agreement with the first bit but the rest was right. Neither full back had any option going forward because Meireles and Kuyt came inside at any opportunity.

However, whilst Konchesky is being picked on for not being good enough, I'd rather take pot shots at someone who at £17m and the England RB, should be good enough and last night was awful. No bottle, no positional sense and made no tackles. Then he moaned at others when what he did, didn't come off. Perhaps he's been hanging around with Gerrard for too long...

Magic made the tackle of the match
And apart from that, what else did he do? I lost count of the times the Greek was hopelessly trying to cover the RB slot as Johnson was out of position. I thought he was gash last night but then there were more than a few who were competing for that prize. Kuyt was shite, how many touches did he need to get the ball under control? Skrtel and the Greek were both bullied by the Ebanks Blake who frankly made Yakubu look anorexic!!

I dunno, maybe I'm blinded by the fact that McCarthy came and done a tactics job on us and won! Or the fact that one of my mates (not an LFC fan) told me to back Wolves at 9/1....

Johnson made one good tackle.

Other than that he was caught out of position repeatedly, didn't look to beat his man once, couldn't pass short or long, & didn't run into space to offer an option.

On top of that every time he misplace a pass he shrugged at others as if it were there fault. He was fucking awful.

Hallelujah! And he cost us £17m. The bloke next to me got it spot on. He's supposed to be an RB, he wants to be an RM but he's not doing either for us tonight.

He bottled tackles and didn't look bothered, although he was more interested in Torres who needs to take a look at himself and his so called effort. N'gog showed more desire and commitment last night.

You said he made no tackles. I pointed out - quite correctly - that he made the tackle of the match.

When all else fails, a touch of pedantry will always win the day!

Konchesky would not have been given the stick that he did purely for being fairly crap.
It was for his mother calling the fans thick no-nothing scouse cunts, . Konchesky chose to ignore it thinking it would blow over, in so doing , the silence suggests he does not disagree. He should have said something that distanced himself from his mothers remarks.
But Babel must be to thick to know that.

regards

I'm still waiting for this supposed crossing ability johnson has

Aye. He fucks me off so much.

Liverpool scapegoat Paul Konchesky will be stuck at Anfield for the rest of the season – thanks to FIFA red tape.

West Ham have asked about taking the left-back on loan
after being knocked back in a similar bid for Manchester City’s Wayne Bridge.

But Konchesky, 29, is not allowed to play for any other club this season after making a solitary appearance for Fulham before his August switch to Anfield.

And world football’s governing body will not allow any player to register with three different clubs in the same season.

Konchesky’s substitution was cheered by Liverpool fans during the 1-0 defeat by Wolves and his standing was not helped by derogatory comments about Liverpool made by his mum on Facebook.

Boss Roy Hodgson, who managed Konchesky at Fulham, has always stood by the full-back but his own position is looking increasingly precarious.

The player is determined to fight on and win over the Kop, especially knowing there is no prospect of a quick exit.

The Hammers are still keen to take Bridge on loan but City’s insistence that they must cough up more than £100,000 a week in wages and bonuses have thrown a spanner in the works.

as rubbish as he is he needs to be kept for the rest of the season as aurelio is an injury waiting to happen.

Insua is a better player than this nobjockey.

It is such a shame that Aurelio is made of biscuits, he was a massive difference yesterday.

Least insuas mum didn't kick off when we were calling him shit

Where is Insua? Is he rotting in the reserves or did we manage to loan him out somewhere?

FWIW, I remember him being even worse than Konchesky. It was like having a short fat badly-positioned hole at LB.

He's at Galatasaray and he's only played a handful of games for them.

He'll be coming back to us at the end of the season no doubt.

Maybe sooner - Gala's manager doesn't want him any more - he doesn't want loaners. He wants to buy replacements for them.

But Insua's contract is expiring in Jun 2011 and there's no news of an extension being offered

See that goal Riise scored the other day? I dunno who it was against but it was fucking ace. Sky Calcio was on in the pub when I got back from the match and at half time during the Brum Arse game they showed all these goals from Serie A. Anyways, most of the crowd had turned on Riise but we haven't managed to replace him yet. He was the best one we've had for aeons.

He's on UEFA's left back shortlist for their team of the 2010. He's way better than anything we've signed in the past 5 years for the position

Riise had a really average last year, culminating with the own goal that killed us. It was really disgusting how it ended (If I remember correctly, he wasn't even on the bench for our last home game) - and sadly, we've yet to find anyone even close to his standard.

It was weird what happened with him. It was like one week everyone was agreed he was one of the best left backs in the world, and then the next a load of people had got together and decided he was shit and would scream abuse at him. I was all like 'didn't I get the memo?' and 'what was it he did?' Then he was gone.

Clueless mong idiots gave Riise a hard time.

Everyone else liked and respected and missed him.

Ditto

And Rafa is one of them...

Sorry cant help 8)

I bet the Cuntcheskys had a frosty Christmas. Paul should be pissed at his mother for making his position at our club untenable, well that and his lack of talent.

We were far too quick to write him off and ship him out, which is why it fucks me off seeing Carra given similar treatment by some idiots on here. He's really come back into his own again, great player, regardless of his shortcomings, he was was one of my favourite players in a position where we've really struggled.
