So tonight I was in Toronto at a football business night out, and who did I talk to for five minutes but none other than Rick Parry. Man, he's got older looking, and a fairly tall fella. He's working for the NY Cosmos apparently. Trying to get them in as the next MLS club. Steve macca was there as well and spoke with him for 5 mins. Pretty decent guy. Easy to talk to. Full of opinions. great experience, still a bit starstruck!

And No, I didn't tuck into Parry. It was just gas to meet the man.

Good for you. I didn't rate Parry but that would have been neither the time nor the place.

Besides, McMoneyman would have deserved it even more if anything. Fair play to him for what you say about him here though.

Did you call him shaggy?

Well spotted. He was a little shaggy alright. Very casual and pretty tall guy. He was pretty approachable, but headed off fairly quickly.

There has to be tonnes of people who would approach Macca, but he was really nice about it all and bantered away. I asked him what he thought about Hodgson and he gave non controversial answers. He's a commentator for ESPN these days in the States.

naah the younger one. Parry was pretty shaggy too - more so. Looked older and tired. Pretty grey.

I thought you meant McMahon

Me too. That's why "easy to talk to" stopped me in my tracks.

McManaman had bags of pace, stamina and skill but no end product when he first got into the first team. He went on to become a fabulous player and had an almost telepathic understanding with Fowler.

I remember the Premiership's strikers being polled for the one player they would most like creating for them and he was the top choice.
