Just no.. Every part of that post.. NoIf £30M is this years £20M then we make a loss on him at £31.5M, we need at least £45M to break even
Tom Brown has what it takes to be our new transfer negotiator.
Careful now.
Yep and because of this very reason we should keep him so he can miss all those one-on-ones with the other 18 teams. We're so going to get fucked when we play Palace. We struggle against them anyway - add Benteke, Townsend to the likes of Bolasie, Zaha, Sako. More pace, more power - just the sort of stuff our squad hates playing against.
Score 3 goals in a single game?.. that's quite unChristian-likeYep, he'll do well there. Good move for both parties but shame about the 2-3 goals he obviously score against us this season...
I'm the first to say we should sell him.Yep and because of this very reason we should keep him so he can miss all those one-on-ones with the other 18 teams.
To get the 20+ goals he'l'l have to start converting a lot of those one on ones and stop being chronically off-side.You might be right, old pal, but I'd be willing to bet against that. Benteke is inconsistent even when he gets the service, as he showed at Villa, besides which those guys are mostly wide attackers rather than wingers as such, i.e.players who spend much of their time going for goal in their own right rather than crossing the ball.

The Echo are just now reporting Benteke has agreed personal terms and it's now on Liverpool to agree the exact fee with Palace. So in more bad news his agent is quoted as saying the useless lump wants to stay and fight for his place. Ffs.
I've already given you Benteke's minutes per goal last season .... 200+ (I think it was 216 or thereabouts), that's not impressive. That Sky report about his agent says he only started 14 Premiership games. Is that right?
And still scored 9 goals. That's very impressive.
The half of the truth, eh?I've already given you Benteke's minutes per goal last season .... 200+ (I think it was 216 or thereabouts), that's not impressive.

Yeah. Goals per game (and especially goals per start) are incredibly misleading and I can never understand why mins per goal is not used more often. The half of the truth, eh?

Sigh. Forget the 'in the PL' bit because that is very misleading.Which Liverpool players had a better Goals Per Minute in the Premiership?
Sigh.
Sturridge, Origi and Ings all left Benteke for dead. Even Mane's record at Southampton (as a winger) is better.

Apparently the agent said just three words "nothing in it" when SSN 'queried him'. That honestly could mean anything or nothing. This is a report just in I'm afraid doesn't look like it's going to happen.
