Me too mate. I would have given anything for this. Hes such a brilliant player. Ive loved his since he played for Germany U19's.
Its funny that all the spurs fans have been lolling at Arsenal all summer and then Arsenal beat them and go and sign ONE player better than all their signings.
Funny as fuck.

Yeah, I suspect the lols will have dried up among the Spurs fans. I also think that Levy's ungracious message to the fans suggests that they really didn't want to sell Bale, but behind the scenes Bale was being a bigger cunt than Suarez managed under the glare of the media.

very tasty front line that.

Podolski's out for months though isn't he? Never quite sure about Walcott as he runs hot and cold and Wilshere seems a bit injury prone. On the right day though it's a very exciting forward line.

I still think they're a little more fragile at the back than we are.

Ozil is one of my favourite players. Very jealous he is gone to Arsenal but delighted he isn't gone to United. Ozil and Cazorla in one team!! *drools*.

Isco must be the real deal if Madrid are happy to let Ozil leave.

Ozil oozes class ala Silva. Arsenal have done very well to get him. He could play for any team in the world.

He probably isn't what they need but he is a fantastic player. He'll be one of the best players in the league in no time. Thrilled he didn't go to United.

Will be earning close to 200k a week.
Wow, I'm guessing Walcott etc will pay Arsene a visit tomorrow re a payrise

Oliver Kahn: "Last season, he only scored nine goals in La Liga - in his position, behind the attackers, this is not enough. Especially if you consider that it's normal for Real Madrid to score a combined 100 goals per season."

I really hope that Ozil will continue beeing wasteful and that he adapts quickly to Arsenals rather ineffective style.

Interesting. Think he's more about assisting.

[article]Most assists for club and country since 1 August 2010:
1- Ozil (91).
2- Messi (82).
3- Mata (72).
4- Ribery (60).
5- Cesc Fabregas (56).[/article]

On the other hand, he's had significantly better options to pass to than Giroud and Bendtner in those sides

I think his reputation will diminish somewhat at Arsenal. They don't have anywhere near as many clinical finishers as Real or Bundesteam and Özil's game is really all about assisting - he will be under pressure to score more and that's not his best quality. I'm not saying he will struggle, but I think after a year in Arsenal he will look more like a 25-30M player, not a 45M one. I would be very very surprised if he could carry his team like Bale, Suarez or RVP do.

The likes of Giroud, Walcott, Podolski and Cazorla all manage to hit double figures in the league though so he's not exactly supplying a profligate offence. Looks like their long term plan is Ramsey and Wilshere for central midfield (though there were rumours that they had an enquiry for Mascherano rebuffed).

He should do really well now that Ronaldo isn't hoarding the ball. A major concern would be his stamina and having the legs to play here.

He's going to be great, lets face it, but he's not what they need, so it won't significantly change their ability to capitulate at some point during the season. They have a great midfield that will probably out play most sides this year, including the tops teams, but defensively they're still found wanting and that will be their undoing, together with a not greatly convincing strike force that's prone to heavy injury.

Cazorla and Özil in a same team will be frightening. They'll open up defenses like cans of sardines.

Double figures yes, but not anywhere near this (2012-13 and 2011-12):
Ronaldo 57, 60
Benzema 21, 32
Higuain 19, 26
Di Maria 11, 7
Callejon 10, 13

He will not lead Europe in assists playing in this Arsenal team, that's for sure.

Yeah, strangely I'm not that bothered about them signing Ozil. He's a brilliant player and he will make them better when he settles but then Arsenal have always had great attacking players in recent times and it's been other factors that have let them down.

I wonder why Wenger neglected the defence this year. I bet Sakho would've loved to sign for them for example.

I'm surprised Arsenal didn't do a Spurs and gazump us for Sakho. They can certainly afford to bid higher and if given the option, it's almost a no-brainer that he'd choose to join another French side in the CL. He'd add genuine grit and steel, something really lacking in their team.

KHL and Rosco better start collecting royalties quick.

Call me mad, but I think Flamini is a better signing for Arsenal than he is. Not doubt Ozil is a wonderful wonderful player that I would beg to have in my team, I just think Flamini is needed much much more.
