I agree completely regards numbers. I thought we needed a minimum of six additional players in this summer.
However his purported wages demands are 180k a week. We have an absurdly high wage bill already, & if we're talking about bolstering squad numbers those wages could pay for two average players instead of one.
He's a young decent player who will improve with us, supports us, he turned the chavs down for us. Should be a hero's welcome for him you shower of shites.
I hope soPearce saying we'll bid for him only if we fail with Lemar.

I'd take both also, there's something about a player wanting to join us that I admire. Might just motivate him to perform better. The Ox would be a great option for the wing. Lemar should be more of a facilitator in the middle. It's Lemar or Oxlade Chamberlain?
That seems a bit odd considering the disparity in their value, & in their wage demands, chamberlains are insanely high cos he's English obv.
The speculation has been that he wants us because he doesn't like being deployed as a WB at Arsenal and rightly suspects Chelsea will use him as a WB too. But that is literally the only position I'd like him in and with the signing of Robertson and the emergence of Alexander-Arnold it means that the position is not as urgent as it was. To make someone who I can only see as a utility player become a 40m outlay and top earner in our payroll is galling. He would be a good utility signing at 25m on 70g a week. But that isn't happening.
Just minutes after we've been informed of a delegation travlling to France too...
Sign both up! (Though that's probably Coutinho gone then)
We're keeping Coutinho. End of story.Yep we won't sign both and keep Coutinho surely.
Listening to Andy Jacobs bleating on about how stupid Oxo-Cube is for wanting to go to Liverpool instead of the Chavs almost makes me positive about this. He's stupid because Chelsea keep their players fit and Liverpool have a bad injury record apparently.
It is nice that clubs might actually be choosing us over more monied and in recent years, more successful teams. That's VVD and now Oxo-Cube who seem to have favoured us over the Chavs.

Suarez release clause drama.Long running history of bad blood? Why is that?
Anyway, I can't remember many players we signed directly from Arsenal.
Last one I can remember was Michael Thomas. He never impressed me as a Liverpool player, and I'll forever remember *that goal*.
Before him, there was Ray Kennedy. A legend.
There were players who played for both clubs, but were not signed directly from Arsenal: Kolo, Anelka and Pennant.
Any others which I might be missing?

That's hardly "long running"' is it?
I never heard that before. But I love it!Supposedly, Bobby has a release clause that every club BESIDES arsenal can match to sign him
I don't really get the Ox thing. I'm hoping I've missed something in his development over the last couple of seasons given I've not seen a great deal of him.
As things stand, I don't get what he offers beyond "decent squaddie". And sure, we need more of those, but for the figures being talked about you really expect more even in this market.
