Im sick of all this vitriol towards Owen.

He was a good servant to Liverpool F.C. Ok his leaving left a sour taste, but shit happens. Its 5 years ago. Build a bridge ffs

He's a cunt. Gets what he deserves......i.e. fuck all.
List of Cunts to help with the definition:

Vinny Jones, Duncan Ferguson, Denis Wise, Roy Keane, Eric Cantona, Franny Lee, Martin Keown, Ron Atkinson

Michael Owen - nice chap

Stupid statement.

Interesting line in The Guardian with regards Michael Owen. They reckon Manchester United are monitoring his situation carefully as they believe they could land the free agent on wages worth a piffling £40,000-a-week. With Karim Benzema off to Real Madrid and a lack of genuine alternatives, could Sir Alex turn to a player he was known to be keen on earlier in his career?

????????????????????????

I'm not buying it.

Wouldn't mind him here on a pay as you play deal to be honest.

Why?

Jesus Christ...... We own players such as Pennant, Voronin, Dossena etc........ and yet you are unwilling to give Owen (an Anfield legend compared to these dummies) a weekly wage.

I really don't understand the logic of some LFC supporters. Yes he fucked us in th ass 5 years ago. But so what? That is the way football is nowadays.

He'd be worth 40K a week in my eyes if Nando got injured and he was able to put the ball in the net, why not?

Who would you rather have upfront out of Ngog, Voronin & Owen?

Hmmmmm such a teaser.

a great servant who fucked us over at 23 years old and left for a paltry sum/. Benzema a year younger and who has achieved less just left his club for 35m
It is indeed a teaser however I think I know the answer. Ngog.
If you would genuinely pick NGog over Owen then you are even more retarded than I thought.

He may not be the player he once was, but he's infinitely better than our current options. There are not too many players in that NUFC squad showering themselves in glory, and Owen will play much better with better players around him - exactly why ManU may well have a look at him despite their ££££

Grijt, I'm afraid you have shit for brains. Sorry to break this news to you although I'm sure that you has a seeking suspicion, eh?

As far as I'm concerned, Owen was like the cheating wife. He fucked us big time.

He's now acting like the whoring mistress.

First he shat on us.....now shats on Newcastle.

And what did he collect again? 20m into his pocket for playing 8 full games in 4 years? Remind me what Newcastle will get out of this (not that I care like).

People are quick to stamp on Tevez for being a 'mercenary' cunt, well what about this little rat?

Like I said. Build a bridge and get over it. You're only annoying yourself by letting it eat at you

I'm sorry but what has Tevez won for our club?

I've got no major gripes with Owen, he left to join Madrid and I very much doubt when signing for Newcastle he expected them to struggle as much as they did.

Great player, welcome back here on a free and acceptable wages, no probs.

I don't harbour any hatred for Owen either. He was a fantastic player for us and it really is a great shame the way his career has panned out.

I was happy to take a risk on him last summer, and every summer before that, but I think he's finally run his course at the top level and can't see any value in bringing him back now. 🙁

The kind of bitter attitude that appears from time to time on here whenever Owen's name is mentioned is a bit pathetic and the sort of thing I'd expect from Everton fans.

We have no reason to hate Owen. He had a great record for us, was very important in us winning a few trophies then left to go to Madrid. I don't blame him for that.
We had a chance of bringing him back but we didn't take it. He didn't turn us down.

Ultimately though we haven't done too badly without him so to ridicule him because things haven't necessarily worked out so well for him shows a lack of class that I don't generally expect from Liverpool fans.

So if your wifey popped over to the neighbors for a quick morning session, seems like you wouldn't be all too fussed huh.

I'm not buying the story about Ferguson being interested in him as they are all old reports and yet nothing happened.

As I said: I would welcome Owen here.

Now that you put it that way, I see that you are right. It is EXACTLY the same thing as infidelity.

"I'm sure that you has a seeking suspicion" - and it's me with "shit for brains"? You thick cunt.

I'm not entirely sure that one of the bigger clubs will break cover for Owen, but then again most, if not all, have infinitely better back up options than we do.

I wont be surprised if/when Man U do come in for him to see a load of bleating on here about "twice a judas" "why didnt we use his friendship with carra and Gerrard" "weve missed out" etc etc etc.

Why not just do the deal now and get it wrapped up. 40k on a 1yr +1yr deal is about the same money you'd have to pay Jason Roberts.

You've used that analogy before and it didn't really work that well then either. Footballers don't sign up to a lifelong commitment, otherwise every player we sign is also a cheating little tosser isn't he? Just not to us, so that's alright!

Lol. It's an old chestnut.....

It depends on how they leave though doesn't it?

Fuckin us around for 1.5 years (pretending to sign soon) whilst conveniently knocking down your price tag .....is the equivalent of your wifey promising she wont runaway with the Rich Real Estate Developer - but then deciding at the last minute that she needs a change and wants to live in a nicer house than your shitebox.

It's the circumstances of the incident that I cannot and wont ever forgive.

Liverpool had their arms twisted and forced into submission.
