From Smithy and Cally to Thommo, Fairclough, Terry Mac, Jimmy Case, Sammy Lee, Aldo, Shaggy and God, we should always be looking to have a minimum of two Scousers at the heart of the team in my opinion.
With Carra having gone and Stevie heading towards the twilight who can our next top local men be?
I have high hopes for Kelly but could Coady, Flanagan or Morgan make it too? Dunn, Lussy, and Rodden all look decent too.
I really hope some of them can make it.
Just feels right to have a couple of local lads out there.

Kelly will be a part of the team - not sure how much though because of his injuries.

Coady, Flanagan and Morgan won't be more than back up players with us ...

As for the kiddies (Rossiter too), there's always a chance I guess ...

Rossiter will be brilliant, I've as few doubts as it's possible to have about a young player.

Not since Gerrard, in terms of enthusiasm for his potential. I like Lussey and Dunn as well, they're on their way, but Rossiter is special. You can never be sure, of course - Gerrard looked a little titch when I first watched him play, then he went on such a freakish growth spurt it looked as though he might be hindered by injury niggles, but in terms of potential, Rossiter really excites me.

I think Flanagan can eventually be a solid squad player.

I agree. He's got steel, determination and fights for the shirt. I think he may be able to fulfill his potential in a Carra type way. limited ability but his desire and will to succeed may see him through.

ta. carra apparently really rates him.

carra was actually a good footballer, not maldini, but he was good. flanno seems lost on both accounts.

I can't see Flanagan and Morgan having a future at the club. They don't appear to be good enough and there are too many players ahead of them in the pecking order (including other youth players in Flanagan's case).

I'd like to be able to say Coady could make it but he's 20 and yet to really gain any first team experience anywhere. That doesn't really bode well these days. He desperately needs a loan move somewhere next season.

Spearing has went away on loan to Bolton and gone about his business quietly and received their Player of the Year this season. I wouldn't mind him being a back-up for the defensive midfield role....for when Lucas departs to Napoli and Wanyama arrives!

Feck it, get this team in, they would probably do a lot better than 7th and, if anything, at least they'd be boss at free kicks...

Flanagan's dad is mates with Paul Dalglish. Kenny was in charge of The Academy when he made his breakthrough.

Kenny, after bending over backwards to help Flanno, had the temerity to drop him when his form demanded it, and Flanno's family went apeshit, branding Kenny the devil. They should thank him for the only chance he'll see in a LFC shirt.

Coady, Morgan, Flanagan none of them have a future at the club.
Very limited player.
