LOL !!! I don't think Alex would actually sign any of our strikers, I have noticed that during his reign he decided in 1998/99 the most important thing in his team was to ensure that he would always have two clinical strikers up front who could compete against any defence. Its a lesson I think he learned from our successes of the past - and his early failed campaigns in the CL, and to be honest last season and currently this season is the first time in my living memory where Liverpool have not had a lethal goal scorer up front.

We'll be doing very well to get two but here's hoping.
Right now all we have is Suarez and Borini and in terms of getting goals, you wouldn't be too confident of them each getting 15-20 this season. Even then we'd still need more.
I don't know what to expect from Borini, we know Suarez is going to miss 2 out of every three chances 'he' creates - and thats on a good day. Clearly in terms of goal-scoring this is the lowest standard we have faced for maybe 40 years if you consider the partnerships we have had in the past. I think BR knows this, so far he has addressed nearly every need of this team in nearly every department to most of our liking, and is buying players who have ball skills and he believes can adapt to his style.
I think we can trust this manager to get the right people in who WILL put away those chances we keep creating in games ( not that we created that much against Man City).

I think we will have Dempsey and Sturridge, and I would be very happy with that but I would not be surprised if we pulled wonder rabbit from the hat

I reckon we'll only sign Dempsey.
I reckon we'll sign another cheap who-the-fuck and that's all. A few last minute departures though.
I'd only really be happy with someone like Huntelaar. Sturridge, Walcott and Dempsey are all good players, but we need a proven goalscorer.

Dempsey is not all that, a good midtable player, Sturridge is just a reasonably paced young English lad.
