Whoops.

I forgot about Lacazette.

JURGEN SIGN A FUCKING GOALSCORER YOU CHUM

otherwise we'll finish the season where we stand currently and you'll be to blame, you dig?

Deserved goal for City, been by far the better side.

Quality goal from a quality player.

Watching City play, we need to learn how to move the ball quickly like they do.

Depressing at times watching Can and Wijnalbum taking either 50 touches between them or keeping the ball for about an hour.

This debate is over, dead and buried binomial.

There's nobody here who wouldn't swap Firmino for Aguero, Lukaku, Kane, Morata or whoever

There's nobody who doesn't think we need a top quality striker, and there's nobody who thinks Firmino scores enough or is a good finisher to play as the striker in a team that has aspirations of winning the title

But there's nothing we can do about that now, and there's no point cry-arsing every time Kane or Lukaku or whoever scores a goal.

There is a reason our last decent season we had a boss goalscorer up front.

It's inevitable, Man U or Man C will win it this season. While we're stuck trying to win it "the right way".

Yes because we have the financial ability to do it like Man U & Man C, and if try to do it, and it goes tits up, we'll be able to be ok too.

Well then I guess the only way we'll win is by fluke like Leicester. So expect another 25 years of almost champions.

Ditto. Even if we win it once we most likely won't be able to sustain any kind of success because Utd, City and Chelsea can spend whatever is required to get back on top.

It's either Arab money or unearthing the next Messi to round off a good team.

We had Gerrard and Suarez and that didn't help. We've come close to the title twice in 10 years and that's when we had a really good XI without good enough supporting players. The year after, we collapsed due to loosing key players.
So basically, we build, we climb that mountain and when we're 10 yards from the summit, our lead climber decides to quit and a storm appears from nowhere so we have to go down to the base camp and regroup.
If Benitez didn't unsettle Xabi and was backed by the board financially and allowed to build and improve the squad, buying all of those players who were linked to us like Javi Martinez and Silva etc we could have had about 2-3 titles by now. But hey, it is what it is. Let's hope Klopp manages to pull a rabbit out of a hat.

Between mancity and manu I know who I will want to win the title this year. Obviously not manu. Well if the rabbit can be pulled out of the hat by klopp I will be most delighted but totally surprised.

If someone offered 3rd right now, I'd bite their hand off!!!

£50 on Lacazette to score anytime & Arsenal to win.

& He smacks the post within 75 seconds....

Arsenal one up. Monreal with the goal. Since then Brighton have done okay hitting the post from a free kick routine.

Blah blah blah
If Benitez didn't unsettle Xabi ........
....then we might have had another mediocre season from him and he might never have achieved his potential. As it was, the threat of competition or the thought of being moved on gave us a shop window year from a player whom, we are led to believe, was being hawked all over Europe without any biters. Some people claim Rafa Unsettled Alonso, I believe he gave him the kick up the arse he needed to become a great player.

So the only way he was able to extract world class performances from a world class player was to actively attempt to replace him with an average player.

Dastardly plan.

No surprise Mourinho hasn't moaned about United's opening fixtures, what a plum set of 10 or so if you could pick them.
Great based to build from.
