Leicester would certainly be an interesting squad to look at whilst things are going badly. Maddison, Barnes, Tielemans, double barrel name guy. We definitely need 2-3 mids next season and not necessarily top level guys.

On a somewhat related note, Dortmund won the Ruhr derby and are now 3 points in front of Bayern. No way Bellingham will be sold in January if they have a genuine shot at the title. Would be a nice ending to his stint in Germany if they can pull this off.

Yeah, a bit of a hyperbole drama queen. But fact of the matter is that Sadio hasnt scored for 6 games and has looked generally off beat. 2 goals in the league, both in big wins against lesser teams.

The drop off in form from last year is pretty evident.

Wonder if it will turn out that we sold at the right time when we look back after season.

Yea i was going to add a sentence of praise to the club for letting him go at possibly the right time but that wasn’t the case was it? My understanding is that we would’ve kept him but Sadio wanted to go, although maybe credit is deserved for not throwing cash at him to stay.

Hopefully lesson learned here for Klopp if Sadios form doesn’t recover, not to be overly loyal to aging players.

I love Klopp, but anybody can see that his loyalty to players who've been part of his team is a blind spot. He's not changing now, that's why Milner is still in the squad despite being at least 2 years past the point where he could compete for a place. If we weren't stingy with wages players would never actually leave.
