Dreamy please. Don't try and turn all the piss taking that's landed on you over the years on me. I know really that you are not a manc fan but a footy fan and can see that Maureen will improve them, you feared it yourself in a post not too long ago. We do need a signing this time round. The signing has to be either one of (or two maybe ?) :-
1) Decent forward that will have aggression to upset defenders both physically and with skill.
2) Wingers/Midfielders -who really are fighters.
Overall - what this game demonstrated is that we need to increase the number of crosses in our overall play when the middle is congested.
I actually don't think he will improve them next year despite the evidence of past successes. I think the players he has at United will get fed up with him by the start of next season. He won't last this time round. United expect a different brand of football to what he is capable of - he will not find the balance or the players to do that. They are actually playing really badly at the moment but are winning through the sheer guile and brilliance of Ibra and that young Rash is playing a good supporting act now and then. I sit at work with a life-long West Ham fan and he told me about the last game where he could not believe how utter shit they were with such an expensive squad.
It's good enough right now. We were always going to drop a point here and there. It's the way it goes.
Second in the league, 5 points off Chelsea, and still to play them. We're looking good.
