It turns out I don't because I don't. If you could assure me they won't win id be fine with it but this is going to be one of those weird open cls that we never seem to involve ourselves with.
I'd also be happier if I didn't think we were going to barely limp the league over the line at best. If arse can win a cl, they'll have far more momentum going into next season. It would be how we broke through and won the league the following season.
I feel like we've been a bit fortunate Saka has been out for so long.
Our first team isn't as strong as Arsenal's if everyone is fit.
Their system is a lot more polished than ours. They seem to dominate most games but lack the cutting edge. If they sign a 1 good CF, they're favourites for the title next year.
We've got a very good team ourselves, but don't really dominate games in the same way, and some of our best players are on the decline and/or leaving.
We need to just win this league ASAP and then build a new team (over the next 2 seasons). I'm talking about a new RB, CB, LB, DM, LW, RW, CF. That's like 7 new players.

I was going to say the same. Poor PL my arse. Villa in the 1/4s by merit, RM destroyed. Utd or Spurs could win the EL whilst finishing in the bottom half of the PL. Pity we ran out of steam but PSG must have a great chance this season.

Bollocks do Arsenal have stronger team than us and bollocks is their system “more polished” than us).
They play defensively and rely on set pieces or Saka and they’ve also won precisely fuck all while pretending to be challengers and only really having one really good run of form in years.
After seasons of increasing points totals they’re going to regress this season, which suggests they’ve peaked - so they’ll need to make changes too.
Whereas we’re likely to post a third consecutive increase in points after a complete midfield rebuild.
We’re nowhere near in as bad shape as some people are trying to make out.
If Arsenal get a top striker (and maybe a LW?), there's no way they've peaked ...

Yup, and the fact it's clear our team needs a lot more investment to maintain what we did this year, while they just need a striker imo.

I’d be more worried about Arsenal if they weren’t Tottenham in red.
They're not the issue mate - we are ... but maybe nerves will be settled if we show up against West Ham.
