One game ata time, you can dream. But villa and west Brom games have taught us to be careful of getting ahead of ourselves

Ok, I'm expecting City and Everton home wins tomorrow which means the two other crucial games, apart from our own, is Newcastle vs. Spurs and Arsenal vs. United.
Hoping for a Newcastle win to keep the pressure on United but I'm not sure what the best result would be for us in the Arsenal vs. United match.
To be honest, it comes down to whether you're a pessimist or an optimist. If you're an optimist and think we can win the title, you'll want United to win so we can gain ground on Arsenal and if you're a pessimist, you'll be hoping for a Arsenal win to keep United way from our fourth place.
As I'm a fence sitter, I'll be going for the draw.

Gonna win the league, gonna win the league... Now your gonna beleive us, now your gonna beleive us... Now your gonna beleiveeeee ussssss

Were gonna win the league!!

So a perfect evening would be wins for : Us, Palace, United, Newcastle and Sunderland. 3 of those are good bets and one more is an outside chance the way they are playing at the moment, though unlikely.

Not sure what the best result in the Utd game would be?

They're 10 points behind us and Arsenal are 5 ahead. So a win for Utd and a win for us. It's not that hard to work out!

The past 20 years have taken their toll and it's hard to be totally optimistic. I would go for a draw as well.

Yeah, the league's that tight, it's unlikely all results will go for us, everyone has been as unpredictable as the next team. It'll be a fight to the death, all we can do is concentrate on ourselves and try to get maximum points now in each game.

Doubt it. If they twat that front four then Moyes is finished cause he clearly can't get the top players to play for him.

Sadly, the mood here reflects the mood after we thrashed Everton but before we played WBA.

A draw would be perfect. Gives us an opportunity to close the gap on Arsenal while also ensuring United remain a fair distance behind.
Most importantly, it should ensure Moyes keeps his job for a little bit longer.

This. Plus with the shit month arsenal will have in march we can overtake them by april.

Personally want Arsenal to win this, i don't want any ray of light for the mancs at all, if you really believe the league can be had then it doesn't really matter what Arsenal do anyway because they ain't winning it, the other 2 are the ones that we will have to finish above.

If you're wanting 3rd place minimum then yeah can undertstand wanting Arsenal to drop points in this game.

As long as the Arse don't win I'll be cool with either of the other possible results. It doesn't feel right not wanting the Mancs to lose, but my priority is the right result for us.

Fuck's sake. Let's concentrate on beating Fulham. Has being a Liverpool fan for the last 20 years not taught anybody anything? We just need to beat Fulham, it will be an extremely difficult game.

As Spaghetti Legs said, if we're gonna win the league the Arsenal game is irrelevant anyway, as surely we'd have to overtake them at some point anyway. Both teams to drop points so a draw for me please!

4th has to be the target first and foremost, then we can start all this ludicrous talk of the title. Things go wrong tonight and we could be 8 points off Arsenal again and level on points with a terrible Spurs side with Everton breathing down our necks. Perspective and keep our feet on the ground!

By the way, I just realized that 9 points separate Newcastle in 9th and West Ham in 10th; 4 points is all that separates West Ham in 10th and Sunderland in 18th. Has there been another season with the bottom half of the table all being so vulnerable to the drop at this stage?
