Good news. I've been pretty down about our prospects in recent weeks but next season we're going to be strengthened by the relative new signings of Gomez and Ings, a more settled and experienced Origi (who I think has the makings of a fine player) and the arrival of Matip...even before Klopp gets the chequebook out. Maybe things aren't so bleak after all.

The ressies need serious revamping, in coaching attitude as much as anything. Under Rodgers the competitive aspect all but disappeared. Today they were woeful, beaten 0-2 by Sunderland, and, yet again, didn't look as if it bothered them at all.

Bunch of overrated crap players.

They have a coach who is looking to promote some of them and this is what they put forward?
What a waste.

I'm glad Stewart wasn't part of it.

Plenty of them are good technically but they're not being prepared to really compete. Over the past three or four years the idea that the result doesn't matter has been promoted so much by the coaches the majority of the kids don't give a toss no matter how poor they've been.

They don't look hungry at all. I go on and on about Stewart but in him I saw something that I've missed for years and almost forgot.
"That fucking will to make it". He might not turn out to be good enough but by God he gave it a fucking shot and ran his legs off. Hence why Klopp is so impressed with him.
I'm not Flanagan's biggest fan but he also has/had it.

I've heard all this talk about players like Kent, but fuck me he's even more frustrating than Ibe.
Brannagan showed some glimpses as did Teixeira and Ojo but ultimately they just don't look like winners.

The Sunderland players wanted it more than our players and naturally it lead to them winning.

I need to calm down.

And the coach said afterwards, basically, that they ignored everything they'd worked on during the week for this game. They all need a rocket up the arse.
