I hope so - anything to balance out the mess.
What mess?

Oh hes here. I can feel it.
No windmills in the last 18 months on the site ...
Mike Gordon is the FSG President. Based at Anfield
Yeh the tranny thing was not real Pat. Horse racing is.
*checks to see if the crying game was fictional or a doco. Now youve spoiled it. Pat - just to confirm - trannies do exist just this specific incident didn't. Make sure you squeeze their balls to check first before moving in
I simply struck gold stumbling on that thread in search of something else. Who knew it held such marvellous soundbites.I think when people are searching back two years to discover you held opinions that everybody else held and which you've never actually denied holding...
Well I think that means you've won.
F*ck off with this shite.
That's what I'd say if I'd ever made really dumb comments on the past
Now you're flirting with him? Stay loyal to me please.
Were you eating a bowl of Frosties at the time?
Yes, yes it was. What ? Explain yourself @StevieM !
From Barretts article:
Of the disparate figures on Liverpool’s transfer committee, Gordon’s voice carries the most weight. Not only does the 50-year-old hold the purse strings, he also implements FSG’s vision which prioritises value and potential, and works closely with the manager and scouts on player identification and recruitment. Though based in the USA, Gordon is in regular contact with Ian Ayre and the other committee members who participate in frequent conference calls.
Such is Gordon’s authority that he informed Rodgers that his services were no longer required in a transatlantic phone call after Sunday’s Merseyside derby against Everton. He is also at the forefront of Liverpool’s search for a new manager.
Heh. That fucking Gerrard... if it wasn't for him....
But yeah, we need better people running the club.
You are an odd fish at times wiberg. You've been very vocal in the past about negative posters and how Rodgers should be respected and treated by the masses yet you are extremely dismissive of Steven Gerrard, a true club legend. Just find it odd is all. Please don't use this as a springboard for a Gerrard debate. I know where you stand on him. 😉
That's the problem right there. A Yank in charge of a "soccer club". Nothing will change with Rodgers out the window. Except all learnings are lost and we lost continuity.
The biggest mistake here isn't Rodgers or his ability as a manager - it's FSG and their ability to understand the mechanism of 'soccer' - The biggest sport in the world. They have provided a platform that anybody would have been sure to fail on in Rodgers 3rd year. He had a season with a completely faded Legend getting in the way of building the right spirit. Moaning if he didn't start. Moaning even more when we went on a 12 match unbeaten run without him. Pulls a red out of frustration against Scum at home - more or less on purpose. He lost Suarez and was forced feed Balotelli in the last sec as a stop gap solution. Yes, he spend 130 mill pounds but CLEARLY Gordon wasn't ready with a decent list of players for us to buy?! Fuck the entire Money ball introduction to this game.
Nothing good will happen until a competent person sits down in Gordons chair. It's as clear as the dialogue in a Few good men - fucking crystal.
It's got bugger all to do with "Yanks" or any other national stereotype, and everything to do with individuals and the choices they make. "Yanks" are "in charge" over at ManUre and, for all the protests of their fans about some of their decisions, it hasn't done them much harm so far. Unfortunately.
Difference is they let David Gill and Fergie be in Charge. Really in charge. They only had to inform what decisions they made and got a quick OK in return.
Makes ALL the diff - don't you think?
These FSG Yanks, even if they are more likable on the surface than the horrid Glazers, are on the inside of all decision making at Anfield - how can you even begin to compare the two scenarios?
That's precisely my point. It was your previous post, not mine, which indicated that all "Yanks" are the same.
I'd much rather ours be stuck in to the footy side & getting that wrong than leaving that to everyone else whilst they leverage the club to line their own pockets.Difference is they let David Gill and Fergie be in Charge. Only because Utd are such a huge brand they can afford to paper the cracks with huge wages. At some point that's not gonna cut it.They'll ride it though, Foxy. While the Glazers are doing what they're doing behind the scenes, they're also keeping the club successful. Worse luck.

They're raping Utd, plain & simple. Our 'yanks' may be making mistakes, & I doubt they are truly in it for altruistic motives alone, but they haven't buried us in debt in the process.
