[article=http://www.nottinghampost.com/Notts-County-talk-Liverpool-forging-stronger-loan/story-26564094-detail/story.html#ixzz3bAGfdKF3]Notts County could be set to delve deeper into Liverpool's treasure trove of young talent, following the success of Jordan Williams' loan last season.

Reds Academy head Alex Inglethorpe has spoken to Magpies boss Ricardo Moniz about the two clubs strengthening their relationship and giving Notts more access to young players.

It comes on the back of defender Williams' spell with Notts last season in which he was given valuable first team football in order to progress his development.

Williams is understood to have delivered a glowing report about the club upon his return to Anfield, having admitted the experience of playing first-team football was invaluable.

And Moniz, who knows Inglethorpe from their time together at Spurs in 2006, now hopes the relationship can benefit both clubs.

"Jordan was very complimentary about Notts County and the way we looked after him when he went back to Liverpool," said Moniz.

"Having spoken to Alex about Jordan, he was very impressed with the experience he gained while he was here.

"We have spoken about having more consistent co-operation going forward which means more opportunities for their players to come to Notts County.

"That is fantastic news for the football club because this is Liverpool, a top European club with some fantastic young and quality players.

"For a club like that to have a high opinion of us is exciting."

Notts have regularly tapped into the Premier League's stock of young talent with Jack Grealish the prime example of how it can be beneficial.

The winger spent the majority of the 2013/14 season on loan at Meadow Lane where he played an integral role in their 'Great Escape' as they avoided relegation in League One.

Upon his return to Villa, he made the first team and has since gone on to become one of the country's hottest prospects.

Liverpool used the loan market to their advantage last season with several players, such as Jack Dunn and Kevin Stewart heading to Burton Albion, Jack Lussey to Bolton and Williams to Notts.

Speaking to the Liverpool website, Inglethorpe says the Reds can only benefit from letting their young players gain experience in the Football League.

"There's a world of difference between performing in under-21s football and playing in front of a crowd alongside senior players, men, and against men," he said.

"The game takes on a different aspect and you find out a lot more about your players."[/article]
