Seemed as though the atmosphere was really good today aswell. 5-0 helps of course, but even the commentator said it had been a long time since Anfield was in such a good mood.

Sorry it was me. Always fucking up.

I used to be in this band called Vaginal Discharge back when David Dein was just a baby lizard and we played at this one place that was doing Gordan Strachan spit roast as a kind of special. You had to order hot dogs made of wood and, well you get the idea. Well this was back in the late 1880s but this one dude started going on about electrons and some sort of flux but anyway we all had to think the worst things a civilisation could imagine in 140 characters or less less and then put them in a chassis of pure maths and send them to the future. I'm not certain but I reckon mine was defo a twitter message by a footballer or something.

In case you missed it. Hendo says "hey" Woland.

How come some people only seem to make an appearance in a match thread when we're struggling ?

I find that odd.

It surely takes the same amount of energy/effort to say "FUCKING YEEEEES !" as it does to say "Oh for fuck sake (insert name of player) is shite". ?

Yes we are happy when we win - but these other people if they have any sense probably get pissed and come on when everytime we face a top 10 team we seem to fuck up. Somewhere in this debate - there are people who remember that LFC are not the club who struggle regularly against a top 10 side, hell I don't remember such a time when we could not beat any teams in the top 10. That's just fucked up - but I guess playing in a poor league kind of helps us in our current state.

Can't wait to watch the whole match. Some lovely moments in the highlights. What an impact Sturridge has made.

Goals and assists:

1-0 Henderson (no assist, but Suarez involved)
2-0 Suarez assisted by Lucas ( Sturridge played a big part)
3-0 Sturridge assisted by Downing (Great pass from Henderson)
4-0 Gerrard assisted by Johnson
5-0 Own goal or Sterling assisted by Gerrard

All in all a great team performance. Everyone of our starting midfielders and strikers got either an assist or goal. When's the last time that happened?

Where are the gifs for these goals mate?

Gerrard and Gary Mac on "goals on sunday" tomorrow at 11 . Might be worth a watch .

Asked for his motive in picking the 34-year-old, Rodgers explained: "Jamie Carragher hasn't put a foot wrong for me since I came. He has been absolutely brilliant. He hasn't played as often as he'd have liked.
"He's played in a lot of the cup games and I'd hoped to not put a curse on him, but I said to him that I couldn't remember him making a mistake in any of the games since I've been here.
"I thought about his leadership. We are a quiet team and he's a great organiser, he manages the game very well, he's got big experience, and he can play football.
"I thought him coming in alongside Daniel, who has been brilliant, would give us that extra bit of leadership. We saw that from him today, he was fantastic."

Interesting quotes . Does this mean Carragher might be getting some more playing time ? Probably not i guess .

At least Rodgers sees that we are a 'quiet' team , hopefully he does something to change this . And a few decent home results against shite teams is a good start but we need to start showing some bottle against top 10 teams , of which we still haven't beaten one .

henderson , downing whoever ..it's all well and good doing it at home against norwich but i won't have any respect for them until they man the fuck up against a decent team.

Taking that quote together with what he said pre-game, it seems he doesn't appear too satisfied with Skrtel's leadership / organizational ability at the back.

"One particular aspect Rodgers and Liverpool's backroom team have been working on is on-the-pitch communication.

The manager added: "There are some terrific characters and some wonderful players in it but you can't be too kind. Kindness can kill you.

"Sometimes you have to be able to not play well and still win. This season we've either been outstanding and won or been disappointing and drawn or lost.

"There are key moments in games where you have to show those qualities to organise. That's very important if you are going to succeed.

"It's about personalities and you can't make people what they're not. At the moment we work with the players we've got.""

And then Carra comes in for Skrtel.

Our defending against set pieces was pretty good in this game, except for their first corner I think, when they got a free header and Jones was called upon to make his only save of the game.

I wonder if it's why we keep getting linked with centre backs - maybe he's not looking for someone to take Carra's place on the bench next season, but rather someone to push Skrtel off onto it instead.
