Disheartening? Not sure that’s even close to the word I’d use to describe how I feel…in fact quite the opposite.

Run through that England squad and tell me which of them are actual winners? World cup….failed. Euros….bottled it. Bundesliga…..bottled it. Europa Conference? Do me a favour. Walker Foden and Grealish? Nah, carries by what’s around them.

The English suck, overrated and overhyped…the only people that beat to the sound of their own drum because their so out of touch with the outer world.

I’m broke at the minute due to gambling but as soon as I’ve saved up enough I’m outta this shit hole country and going to live in either Sydney or Zhangzhou.

I feel like you replied to an entirely different post.

Mount, Rice or Bellingham would’ve walked into our midfield and are homegrown. It’s disheartening for me because either they didn’t want to or we couldn’t afford it. The latter being even more disheartening because competitiveness is so closely tied to money now we’re not far away from needing rich owners to ever win anything.

I don’t really care about the winner thing but Mount has won the champions league, Rice has just won that shit competition with West Ham and Bellingham is a kid.

No no, I read it well & understood exactly what you said first time.

There are about 200 midfielders out there who would walk into our midfield, it's like cabbage walking onto your plate when you have brussel sprouts, asparagus and beetroot on it.

Mount is average at best and wouldn't really fit the way we play, just because he has a CL's medal because he played the best he's ever played in the latter stages is great but we also had the likes of Origi and Smicer that won CL's medals for the same reasons....doesn't mean they're world class, he was atrocious last season.

Rice & Jude are good players but they are 60-70m players tops who have much hype built around them plus once it was known what the market valued them at it was clear we were never in position. Dunno about you but if we'd signed Mount for 60m or Rice for 100m I'd have been gutted.

We've got by the last 5-6 years winning everything there is to win in spite of all these big money signings.....(which btw 90% of them have flopped due to the pressure)

Are you not a bit annoyed we didn’t sign Jude?
Not really no I was never really 1 to follow along with the crowd, I admire him as a player for sure but I had it instilled in my mind well before that we needed 3 new midfielders and I just knew from the offset we couldn't account for Jude being 1 of those.

Plus we've made world class players or at least top tier out of lesser known players such as Gini & Fab & I believe that is the way forward.

Signing young players 18-23 for £10-30m from other continents whose economy is far weaker, who have less hype but the same potential to be great.

The same way I wasn't annoyed Utd got Pogba for 90m, or Chelsea got Lukaku for 90m.

Or Utd got Maguire for 80m, Di Maria for 60m, Arsenal got Pepe for 70m, Madrid for Tuchoameni for 80m etc.

Overhyped. The bigger the transfer fee doesn't mean the bigger the success rate will be.

The only one there that i was genuinely concerned bout was Pogba. Juve Pogba had fucking everything man.

Yeah Juve Pogba looked like he had the potential to become Zidane levels but then ruined his career moving to Utd......got too big for his boots thinking he was bigger than Jose & then his attitude dropped.

But WBA/Everton Lukaku was a beast I can't lie.

Madrid Di Maria was unreal too, very underrated player.

Fair enough then if you weren’t particularly interested in him but we as a club did spend absolutely ages trying to land him. You’ve got to be disappointed with that then!

It was silly from the club to pursue it as long as they did yes but again I think they knew deep down they could never secure a deal for Jude but just wanted to make it look as if they were doing everything possible to convince the fans they did all they could....I never thought we would sign him so I didn't buy into the idea, which subsequently meant I didn't really leave myself any room to feel discontent or let down.

I think our lack of activity the last few years is affecting fans mindset on the real issues....not missing out on Jude so to speak which they're annoyed at.

Man U chasing Andre Onana, that guy is risky. He loves dribbling inside and around his box which leads him to be dispossessed easily.

Zeiych move fallen through, dodgy knee it seems and apparently you need a fully working pair of knees even in the Saudi league. Poor lad, hope he’s not stuck in limbo next season.

Still more evidence you eat like a child.

Limboing is the last thing he'll be doing.

Southampton apparently looking for £50m to sell Lavia.

If that’s the case…

They can keep dreaming. They have to accept they’re a championship club now and can’t expect big money for their shitty rock bottom relegation whimpy plodders.

With that said we should see how much we could get Bella Kotchap/Salisu for.

[article]Kilman was signed from Maidenhead United for £40,000 in 2018 — to originally play for Wolves' Under-23s — and has gone on to make 107 first-team[/article]

Would be interesting to see how much they end up getting for him
