I'm surprised they're targeting a midfielder first over a striker.

If they want to sign Mount for 60m or Caicedo for 80-90m, let them.....nothing changes with what we're supposed to do, as long as we do what's needed, we'll be fine
and not need to worry about anyone else.

Absolutely this, also if we all think it deep, Caicedo has had one very good season, and some of the other supporting caste that he has played with are moving on like Mac10 to us. So what does that mean for him (Caiced) ? - he will have to fit into a new team, will he be able to play with them based on that one year good season sample ? - who knows. As for Mount - we all know he had one good season, and there is always a lot of hype when a 'pure' English (non-Liverpool) player makes headlines, there is this expectancy and hope that the guy can repeat and perform like he did in that break-through season. Again the Mount sample size is small, and if you ask me - Mount is one of those players that has had moments, sometimes to me it feels like he does nothing in a game.

Bit like us targeting strikers over midfielders.

Ish.

We need both equally as much as the other, we had about 8 midfielders and only after Origi Mane Taki left our only RW was Salah, our only CF was Firmino. Jota and Diaz were both out for 6 months.

It's still mad to me that we clearly knew we needed a midfielder, as we bid 80m for tchoumeni...only for klopp to say our midfield is world class and we don't need anyone only a month later. Like I get hyping up existing players but the transparency was ridiculous

I know its bad innit ? If they dont sign 3 mids and a defender this transfer window, and I say one defender on the basis that we dont sell an existing one, then i think the fans should boycott games by not turning up for home games. These owners need to know they have taken the piss yet again. Dont do that shot when you have a world class coach, and dont let your asset decline.

It’s the hope that kills you …..

Gundogan to Barca, Silva to Saudi and De Bruiyner turning 32 on Wednesday.

I was thinking that. The amount of disruption at City this year is pretty significant, so there's always a smigion of hope they fuck it all up.

Yes… I’m sure John Henry is looking at the club right now and mourning the loss in value of the asset he paid £300m for.

They're actively trying to sign players.

What we are doing? Still showing MacAllister around Kirkby?

The window has been open for 12 days, and the majority of our targets are currently playing in an international tournament.

95% of our business usually comes in the first half of the window, we never really do anything later on.

Better to now agree in principle the deals with the clubs and then sort of the medical and contract stuff after the tournament otherwise someone else might nick our targets.

Wouldn't know, I'm not that big enough of a cunt to follow Trump affairs.

Macallister
Gakpo
Nunez
Carvalho
Ramsay
Konate

Were all signed within the first 2 weeks of the window opening, some were even announced a month before.

Even before them van dijk and fabinho. The outliers recently were Jota, Thiago and Melo. Ones been good, ones a crock and the other only played 14 minutes

Gundo to Barca confirmed.
Best transfer signing of the summer for all.
I’m sure City will grab a replacement but interested to see whom will replace the big goals in the big games when required.

Good, now hopefully Mahrez Laporte & Bernardo all fuck all with him.

So now your ranting that we should be “actively trying to sign players” like the team that hasn’t actually signed anyone… even though we have.

If you’re going to pull out the old “we do our business early”, I’ll see that and raise you “we only hear about it when it’s done” unlike other teams who need to be seen in the press constantly being linked with players.

But what a 14 minutes it was!!!

Obviously Gundogan has been fantastic for the last while but was his presence really significant prior to the last season / maybe 18 months or so? Seems to me like Bernardo was the man back then. Maybe i don’t pay enough attention to City but imo Guardiola is dumping him after a purple patch he won’t maintain to follow his keep it fresh mantra.

Not really ranting, just want to know what we've been doing for the last 18 days since MacAllister was announced.

Diaz taking the #7 and Nunez the #9 next season means to me we're only looking at a new #8 to come in and maybe a CB.

That would be shit.

City have some challenge in replacing the creativity Gundo and De Bruyne provide.
Without them, they often look a bit stale.
