NFL 2014-15 (Offseason / Draft / Regular Season)

The Broncos will be interesting to watch in the off season.

Manning might retire

His last 4-5 games were terrible. Something was wrong - either he was injured, or he's retire. Something tells me he'll go, and Brady may too if he gets a ring.

Well he got back to form by going through Regenokine - which is apparently the best anti inflammatory known to man at this point.

All that needs to happen is for it to wear off a bit, inflammation returns in his neck and it leads to arm weakness etc.

It was brilliant from Mike Mccarthy to throw the flag too.
First challenge he won all season.

Yah 'brilliant' because he really saw it ... or because someone told him from upstairs ...
Sour grapes.
Do we really need to point out the fact that this great Dallas team couldn't beat a team with a 50% qb.
Typical Dallas bollox there.
At least Garrett comes out with some credit.
He knew the rules I suppose.

I just expected you'd see the blown call late in the 1st half and cry about the quality of refereeing even WITH replay ... No taking the piss out of Romo? I expected too much?

No sour grapes (that was you last week) - we didn't do enough to win, and Garrett said it a-ok by me too ... like the whole team. No one blamed the call for losing, no one ... But hey, what why am I not surprised?

No typical "Dallas bollox" - I've not dissed the Packers once (bar Cobb), or their '50% qb' ... I just never liked the "Blueshite towards Liverpool" attitude you display constantly with all things regarding Dallas ...

You were whinging about the standard of refereeing at half time last week when Detroit were all over your lot so if you want to miss your double standards again be my guest.
Yeah I hate Dallas and it will never change but it's hardly bitterness is it?
What do I have to be jealous over?

I think you're point re: whinging is a bit ridiculous:

We get our only break (there were some really odd ref decisions in th 1st half - our punter was roughed too, no call ... dewayne harris got smacked afte fair catch, no flag etc) so far ...

That's whinging? Saying 'odd'? I didn't say it had cost us points, or biased etc ... Fully complimented the Lions defense etc ...

I don't think I mentioned bitterness - you just loving seeing Dallas lose, I get it. No worries.

I didn't mean 'jealous' (I don't even know what team you like), I meant that everything that goes against Dallas is 'right' and everything that goes in their favor is 'Jones bribing the refs' (You didn't say this, just an example of what I saw last week), or 'cheating' etc.

You mean where the refs reviewed a catch that hit the ground 1st? I was so surprised to see Leo not complaining about a missed call ...

Tough way to lose a game which we should have won. I thought Murray's fumble was what turned the game - If Peppers misses the ball, it's a TD run and game over. Oh well ... That's football for you - we just didn't take advantage of the opportunities presented ... and I'm not sure we're gonna have a better chance at a SUper Bowl run in a long time ...

As for the call - I've seen it a few times and I still don't get how it's not a catch. He had two feet down with control, and then lost it when he went for the stretch ... Oh well - he'll learn from this. Was a gutsy call, a phenomenal throw and beastly attempt ...

Seattle vs NE it is.

I thought when they reversed the call on the field that maybe Bryant should have concentrated on securing the ball and not gone for the TD.
It would have been 1st and goal.
Maybe its harsh because of the amazing catch and you can understand him going with the forward progress.

Ah well, hope they keep most of the team together and strenghten in the right places.
Next year eh. Next year.

Unless Willie McClay (I think that's his name) has the same influence, I don't think this team will have the talent it did this year ... We need to keep Maranelli too ... He's extremely good.

Someone's going to nab McClay as GM sooner or later.

I'd betting on the Jets - I just hope we keep him for 1-2 more years. I assume he was behind our draft picks this past year - a really good one in Martin, a stud LB prospect in Hitchens etc and a few excellent FA pick ups ... 1-2 more years should give us enough of a base to perhaps get farther in the playoffs. But as i said, I'm not optimistic - I feel this was the team's best shot.

At least you're thinking about having a shot. I'm trying to see far enough ahead that I might experience an eight win season again.

We have an old team with not much talent and zero cap room. We don't have room to manoeuvre. We need to start drafting better (Emery had improved us in that respect), but we're years out of being genuinely competitive. We've let things run down too much and threw the family silver at Cutler.

Ha yeah it's a Jerry masterpiece.
This Oregon punter is doing a shift in that first quarter.
Massive fumble there though.

Surely they had to take the 3 points off that turnover.
It's fucking high octane stuff though.
Really enjoyable.

Fuck sake another fumble.
They're like a tomcat with two cocks with the luck so far.

Manning had a torn right quad. Credit to him for just getting on with shit rather than playing up for the cameras like Rodgers did.

Power comes through your legs. If you can't set yourself, then you're throwing from the shoulder only, not up through the hips to go deep. Like a boxer, I suppose.

Rodgers attracted pressure on himself, which might have been part of the idea. Play it up or play it down, dude's last ten passes on Sunday? 10-for-10 for 163, 8 1st downs, and 2 TDs. Can play in a dress if he likes, puts those numbers up.

Manning has mostly been a post season choker though.
Nice chap but not a quarterback I'd be relying on when it comes to the crunch.
He's fantastic during the regular season putting up huge numbers against the likes of the Raiders but the playoffs his numbers always seem to significantly tail off.
He's going to retire with less rings than Eli which is in itself astonishing.
