Palermo's 20-year-old Danish centre-back Simon Kjaer has hinted that he would be interested in a move to Liverpool, revealing that he and his family are Reds supporters.

if only we could afford him.

How much would he cost? Is he any good?

Around the £10M mark.

He is very good and beeing only 20-years-old he's going to get even better. He has played a couple of games alongside Agger - and will do so as well come the World Cup - and they've looked awesome together. Kjaer (with a silent j) is an extremely strong lad winning almost every header there is to win. He's extremely difficult to defeat in one-on-ones because of his physique and his good pace. He seems like a very clever player too, often finding himself in the right position. That said I'm not sure he'd accept to be fourth choice in our backline to be honest.

Anyways, don't think we'll spunk that many on a defender baring in mind that we're at least one expensive striker short.

(I'd love us to go for Higuain, anyone saw his fine goal in the weekend)?

If he's really that good he wouldn't be fourth choice.

I'd love Higuain as well.

Would this Kjaer lad be a natural successor to Sami then?

I've decided I want Kjaer and Higuain.

Sorry Ross, i'm about to get off the Dzeko bandwagon, i'm all about Gonzalo Higuain now.

Ha. I do not dare predict anything as such mate.

But he does have a few of the qualities (heading in particular) that we've missed in the backline since the big ol Finn left.
